I'd have to say the Gaborik is quite possibly the biggest soup ladle I've ever seen. The Yzerman is prolly second followed by the Coffey and Thornton curves

Crosby from Sherwood.

Crosby? That certainly isn't as huge of a curve as the Sherwood Coffey curve. I think the thing that makes the Crosby curve seem bigger than it is would be the amount of loft.

How the hell can they(those who buy it) stickhandle with those kind of HUGE curve??????

You kidding? Guy I played against had one of those huge curves - he could cup the puck with it - damned near impossible to strip . His backhand sucked for the most part, but.....

Easton (at least, I think it was Easton) used to have a curve called The Euro-Curve - it was ginormous.

Montreal has the Euro and Classic-Euro...both big curves, but the Montreal PC curve is even bigger.

And all this leads to the obvious next questions: 1) how many of these sticks are legal (for those that play in leagues with curve limits)? and 2) how many times do you see players called for an illegal curve? And I'm talking in leagues that we play in, not the NHL.

answer for number 2)

I have never seen someone called for an illegal curve. I play Midget Minor this year, and in Bantam and below, nothing happened. I think most coaches don't realize something like that because most kids don't know how to "make their own curve". Most coaches aren't that obsessed to make a big deal about a curve on a hockey stick. That's just from my view though. I have some really big curves on sticks that I use, and I never even get looked at for the curve

1) a) My area doesn't have limits B) The general rule, for leagues, is 1/2" and all of these (As most retail curves do) exceed the limit.

2) I've seen illegal curves called twice. Once playing once coaching. Both around the PeeWee age. I would've seen it last year again, but they took it out, so the other team opted to use a goalie sock rule instead.
