Forsberg playing in denver again

Recommended Posts

Forsberg article

Could he really leave??? I guess if the offer is significantly lower than what he is used to. But the one thing I thought about players like Forsberg is that they don’t play for the money. And its not like they are going to only throw 2 million at him. And he has said that he really wants to be there next year.

I can’t see him in another jersey!!!!! But I guess as long as it is not a Red Wings Jersey. That would be the end of days for me!

This is no surprise. I guess he's tired of using the "I'm planning to stay in Sweden for the rest of my career" bargaining tactic.

As opposed to the "I might go back to Sweeden" tactic he used for the last couple years in Colorado?

You don't think Forsberg would go to Vancouver if the money was right? I think it would be cool to see him play with Nasland and the Sedins!

I think he would go wherever the money was right and they had a chance to win. Wouldn't it be fun to watch him on a PP unit with Heatley and Savard down low and Kovalchuk and Modry on the point?

Or the lines being:

Kovalchuk, Kozlov and Forsberg

Savard, Heatley and McEachern

Stefan, Petrovicky and Mellanby

Aubin, Simon and Vigier

If Forsberg leaves Denver he will go to a team well under the cap. Detroit does not fall in that category.

Think in terms of Boston or Calgary in terms of cap.

Montreal? They have some money to spend and grit that can score has been missing for quite a while.

I know, I'm a Habs fan...so it is very much wishful thinking.

Naslund Forsberg Bertuzzi?

Sure I'll take that :)

Bertuzzi wants out and there's no way they will be far enough under any cap to afford Forsberg if Bertuzzi doesn't leave and is cleared to play. Funny that the NHL hasn't announced the remaining length of his suspension considering his hearing was well over a month ago.

Personally, I'm hoping for either Iginla Forsberg Gelinas or Forsberg with anyone in a CBJ jersey. But come on... Fors and Iggy together? That would be nasty! They'd tear the league apart.

Here's hoping.

Trade Koivu-Theodore-komisarek for Zherdev, sign Forsberg & Kovalev with the free cash...Here come the Stanley Cup in Montreal.

Not with Huet in net they wouldn't.

Koivu/Theo is the present of that team. Komo is the future. I don't see that deal happening. Although re-signing Kovalev would be nice...

..oh, btw...you forgot get Crosby.

Foppa is pretty much a pipe dream.

Sure, there's plenty of cap room in Boston but you should know there is no way in hell they would pay Forsberg's asking price.

I was still thinking we had Garon. Imagine the line up though.

Right, because Columbus would be dumb enough to get rid of young talent for old talent.

A sophmore, an injury prone center and a floater?

Not much to give up to get Zherdev either. I'd say it'd take at least Koivu and Zednik.

Thats what I was thinking. His choices IMO are Sweden, Avs or Vancouver.
