They are the best company I have ever dealt with! I always try to buy from them first. I have even waited for them to get items in stock just so I could order from them over other internet companies. Their service is unmatched.

I got a standard blade instead of tapered and plain tape instead of powerflex the last two times I ordered from them. Not exactly major screwups but it seems they might be slipping a little lately. What I'm guessing it amounts to is that they were rushing to get orders boxed up and shipped the same day and not carefully reading the packing slips. They're still tops in customer service in my book regardless of any mistakes they may make.

So what do you do? Do you go to your local sports store and try on the skates, but dont buy them, then go home and order from epuck? or go see how long a stick is then go home and order it?

A stick is a stick in general, you should know that kind of thing. As far as skates, I tend to buy where I try on. That way you have some form of local support should something go wrong with your $300-$400 purchase.

That would be a little ridiculous no?

I've only purchased one pair of skates online and they were the newer version of the skates I had so I took a chance on them. I got such a good price that it was worth a shot even if I had to send them back. They are great.

I usually research protective gear before buying online. If I find what I want locally I will purchase it but I have had bad luck with that as of late. I can ship things back from work so I don't really have to worry about shipping costs if I get something and I don't like it. That has only happened twice though.

I just got a Vapor XV from Epuck. I wanted to buy it locally but none of the shops here had it. The one place that did was a place by my office but the guys that work there are all d*cks so I compared it to other shafts that I was interested in there and then ordered the one I wanted from Epuck. I wouldn't do that with other local shops but these guys have screwed me several times and I only go there as a last resort.

Blades are pretty easy since I only use one curve. If I need one right away, I buy it locally. If I want to get a couple reserves, I find the best price online and order it.

ePuck gets a couple thumbs up in my book too for service. Their selection may not be as great as say, HockeyGiant or Monkey but if you find what you're looking for there I'd say go for it. The one order that they did goof up, they paid for UPS to come pick up the item.

....and the spices are good....

That's why I charge a skate fitting fee.

You don't screw your customers like they do around here. I've never seen a shop charge above MSRP for gear anywhere other than here.

I ordered some stuff from EPuck and got excellent service. I called them to make sure my order was coming along ok (which I do with every place that I order from) and they were very kind and helpful. Great prices fast service and those spice packets they include are amazing. I had fried up some chicken and put that seasoning on there and wow they were excellent :D

Epuck has been great the couple of times I have ordered from them. I got a good laugh out of the seasoning, had been meaning to try it anyway.
