Chadd 916 Report post Posted June 29, 2005 My beer league team can't even get our wives or significant others to come out and watch us play. I kinda doubt it's a viable TV series. I think we need to move down a division. I was reffing the other night and one of the drunk girls there flashed my partner.
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted June 29, 2005 I imagine a night of back-to-back Trailer Park Boys and this Beer League show would do wonders to promote Canadian culture! Definately a candidate for Showcase.

jbyun04 7 Report post Posted June 30, 2005 This show would be ideal for Spike TV Well, it will probably go on CBC but them all the swearing will be edited and they will not be allowed to do crazy stuff. If it was on it was on Spike TV they would be able to get away with more but still no swearing. they had another show on CBC in the winter earlier this year called the Tournament. Show about a bunch of little kids playing hockey in wanting to win a tournament and a dad who thinks his kid is NHL material. That was about a 7 week mini-series and had a whole bunch of little kids swearing like crazy. If they let something like that air on CBC, this has to air on CBC!! number21 3 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 ya it didnt work 4 meyeah. they need some actors!it's a good idea, but like others have said i think a movie would be much better. There are some good actors out there who can skate and could play the leads (Steve Carell!). Then have a bunch of actual beer leaguers be extras. Hell they have covered most other sports in the comedy movies. As long as it wouldn't be stupidly overboard like dodgeball or this new ping pong movie. sitzlejd 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 I don't know if anybody still keeps up with this show but they just ended the latest season (about a month ago if I remember correctly). Anywho, at the end of the last episode Rollie says that the show should be on national tv in 2009 (national tv meaning Canadian tv I assume). I was just wondering if anybody had any more info on these guys and/or the details about the show coming to tv?
