Want to see the Draft Lottery on ESPN?

I was cringing at the thought of Anahiem...I'm happy its the Pens.

he could have ended up with federov and perhaps a returning kariya in anaheim, so I didn't see much of a problem either way. I was pumped when atlanta was still around though for so long... would have been rediculous!

This sucks...I was hoping to see him on a regular basis...On TV and in person...

If you live in Canada, you WILL see him quite often, whether you like it or not :)

Oops, didn't see this one before my little joke.

Well, looks like there's one more Center Ice subscription to be sold.

I just can't get over the "mighty ducks" as a name/mascot. I never will.

Paul Kariya is not wanted back in Anaheim. I spoke with someone with the team yesterday and I brought this up and he told me that in no way, shape or form do they want him back. Neither do the fans for that matter.

Well, if Bobby Ryan goes to Montreal, I will be so happy, and I'll definitely be picking up a jersey

I wouldn't be surprised if Anaheim went out on a limb and took him #2. Bobby is VERY well known in these parts.

I am never going to see him...Once a year maybe...By the sounds of it, that won't happen either...

Once every six years when they play the pacific division teams you can see him. Have I mentioned the new schedule is craptastic?

Make that 2!

Just pray to whatever god you believe in that you get the other broadcast and not the Pittsburgh feed.

Any predictions for the draft? We'll go, top 10?

1. Crosby - Pitts

2. Ryan - Ana

3. Johnson - Car

4. Pouliot - Minn

5. Kopitar - MTL

6. Staal -Clb

7. Brule - Chi

8. O'Mara - Atl

9. Price - Ott

10. Skille -Van

*21. - Toronto - Rask

- I'd love to get Parent or Price, both would have to drop, especially Price, but heres to hoping. I think they need a tender and Ottawa will REALLY benefit from getting a top 10 pick, with only 1 top 10 goalie. My list is pretty close to McKenzies

MTL-Brule/Kopitar

I think they are the BPA's and Staal is good, but a step behind. Johnson would be ideal but he won't fall to #5. MTL needs a D-man but I say we just pick one up through Free Agency then draft a gamebreaker in Kopitar/Brule

MTL has drafted alot of D fairly high recently. Komi and Hainsey. I think Ottawa has to grab Price if hes there. They need a goalie for the future. Prusek and Emery are still question marks and aren't really considered elite prospects.

Exactly, that's why when they have the chance I hope for them to draft an elite talented forward. I hope Hainsey is trade-bait soon enough and Komi steps into the lineup next season.

Don't be surprised to see Staal taken at number 3 to Carolina and join his brother. Also, I think Vancouver will select local boy McArdle.

McArdle shouldn't go as high as ten. I'd see him going in the late first round. Also, I heard on the Team 1040 last night that Nonis was possibly looking to trade for a higher pick.

I agree with that, but all I'm saying is that the Canucks are probably feeling some pressure to take him when their turn comes.

How can this not be good?

Nhl.comAnd ticket sales, which sagged after years of near-capacity crowds in the league's oldest and least fan-friendly arena, picked up substantially minutes after Pittsburgh won the No. 1 pick Friday in the NHL draft lottery.

The Penguins sold scores of season-ticket packages Friday night to fans from 10 states and Canada, even though ticket-buyers had to wait 45 minutes on hold just to get an operator....

...Players about to be dumped on the free agent market Aug. 1, some had their agents call general manager Craig Patrick.

They are eager for the chance to play alongside Lemieux, Crosby and Mark Recchi, in front of goalie Marc-Andre Fleury

Crosby will save hockey in Pittsburgh no doubt about it. ESPN (or whomever has the Nationwide hockey coverage) is going to have plenty of games with Pittsburgh in them, so I'm sure everyone will get some Crosby exposure. Heck, if they dont air Pens games, shame on them for 6 weeks. The pens have two number 1 picks and a number 2 pick, Mario and Recchi both in the waning days of their careers to cover and talk about, plus whomever else the Pens sign. Players will take a cut to play with Crosby, Mario, and Recchi, atleast I believe so. I dont know how some of you can complain about this. Some of you live in PA, drive over and see him! Quit complaining about how empty the arena is when those of you who live within distance arn't going to come see the games either.

I didn't forget him I just forgot to mention his name. 2 first rounders (crosby, Fleury) and a second rounder (Malkin). The Pens will be back in business real soon.

People were excited about Recchi, Mario, Malkin from what I gathered, throw in this Crosby kid, and if they keep Fleury up in the bigs all season.. watch out, that building will be rockin' the foundation.

Doubtful. That would be a terrible move, IMO. I think the Hurricanes will go for Bobby Ryan or Brule.
