Report: Bertuzzi's Suspension

Recommended Posts

It's not like any other paper is too reliable and I don't think Canuck fans can expect him to be playing in the season opener. I'd think probably 5-10 games more.

Sorry to say this, but I hope what goes around comes around in this case. Bert should be very aware when he is on the ice.

He can look after himself let's see how he fares this season if he plays.

I´d love to see him banned for half of the season. I don´t want to bring this up yet again but that move was just too sick and if it had been done by a player with less reputation (i.e a goon or a guy that is back and forth between the show and minors) I am sure they would have banned that guy for life to make en example.

Thats exactly what I have been saying since it happened cavs.

Say he was mis-diagnosed right after, and he's good to go now. Should Bert be allowed back? What if he is healthy, but decides to persue his Law career. What is Colorado doesn't clear him, just to spite Bertuzzi. Thats why I hate that idea. Set the number and go. I won't be as opposed to a longer suspension as I was before, but I want it to become the staple. There can't be minimal suspensions for equal acts like the Beukeboom incident, or even the Suter cross check on Kariya.

The first game at the Pepsi center should be interesting for him and Crawford.

His condition is still not great and he has symptoms of post concussion syndrome, he will never play competitive hockey again.

thats terrible for him, i am a bertuzzi fan but i have lost so much respect for him but i hope that his stupid act will not lead to a violent attack on him when he returns. he has served his ban and i am positive that he will not repeat an action that stupid

does anyone think he will be in danger?

He won't specifically be in danger,he'll just have to watch his back.As stated earlier, whatever goes around comes around, you can expect he recieves the jab-with-the-stick during a line change every now and then.

I hope he gets what's coming to him. The karma will find him. He'll get his in the first game he steps foot on the ice in Colorado. That was the most classless BS act I've ever seen in any level of hockey.

If that was the most claseless thing you've ever seen, wouldn't someone trying to do the same to him be even more claseless?

Bert wont get touched on the ice by players. Its not the Avs way and the game cant afford another black eye.

The fans? Heck they will call him a bunch of names he has heard many times. Worst thing that will happen is him getting a beer bath.

Crawford on the other hand? I wont go there.

Crawford? I don't think much will happen to him, he's a coach after all. I'm sure he probably will lose some respect amongst coaches and gm's. I don't think he has to worry about Peter Worrel waiting for him in the parking lot.

i agree with cavs and forsberg91. he shoudl be out until moore comes back. but if moore decides not to come back but is healthy enought to then i say let bert play again but NOT before moore is healthy. that hit was the worst and cheapest BS i have ever seen in hockey. i dont think its fair to let bert play when steve moore cant because of an ingury that wasnt his fault.
