sherwood21 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2005 pepsi was the offical soft drink of communist russia in the day.coke is the #1 soft drink in the world. they have several "flavors" that are sold over seas only. 1) ...2) Easton is the #1 stick company in the world, does that mean that they are the best?I don't drink pop because it just doesn't taste good to me, so I say nay to both B)
hitz14 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2005 I don't drink much soda, but when I do, I go for Coke, and purely for non-taste reasons. It seems like every commercial Pepsi has, they're trying to prove how much "cooler" and more "hip" they are than Coke. It annoys me to no end.I hope Pepsi would be thrilled to find out that they're advertising dollars are pushing me towards their competitior.GROW UP, PEPSI!!! i agree, that stupid pepsi comercial where they keep changing the coke machine and the pepsi one stays, i hate it. I guess that pepsi doesnt realize that everyone picks coke over pepsi, coke and diet coke are the #1 and#2 soda's in the world

Benfica 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2005 The 'Taste Test' was never about identifying which was which beverage, either. It was supposed to be a test of which tasted better. Anyone who prefers either drink would be able to identify their brand pretty easily, so it's not a great test... made for a good series of commercials for Pepsi though. Wonder what the edit room got to see that we didn't???I read (in "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell) that the reason a large majority of people chose Pepsi in the Coke vs. Pepsi blind taste test was because Pepsi is sweeter than Coke. So when people would take sips of each, they would prefer the sweeter taste of Pepsi. But when they tested people drinking larger amounts (like a can or a bottle), a lot more people preferred Coke. DeI 18 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2005 I'd have to say Coke with lime, but I love Mountain Dew, and I can't remember if that's made by Coke or Pepsi. Overall, I don't think it matters, as long as it tastes good.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 7, 2005 I finally got a chance to try Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper and I really like it. Unlike the flavored versions of the other colas, it's a very subtle flavor. It still tastes just like Dr P but with a hint of cherry and vanilla. I prefer it to the much more "in your face" flavors of the other brands.
Vapor 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2005 This is a joke right? Phew, I thought you guys were serious, we all know coke is king. (That would make RC Cola queen, right?)

Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted August 8, 2005 I heard Fountain pop tastes different because its dilluted with ginger ale. If that's the case, then I'd love to know where to buy it in cans, because I much prefer the soda from the fountain.

I prefer it to the much more "in your face" flavors of the other brands. It took me a while too to finally get a taste of Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (all they had at the store was diet, but I've seen non-diet on the internet) and I really thought I'd like it cause I like all those things (Dr. Pepper, Cherry flavor and Vanilla flavor). But I was kinda disappointed. I thought it was a little too sweet. Also, I don't think my palate is smart enough to distinguish all those flavors at once. Stupid palate. Neo5370 132 Report post Posted August 8, 2005 I heard Fountain pop tastes different because its dilluted with ginger ale. When one of my uncles used to own a restaurant, they served fountain soda. And whenever we ran out of ginger ale, we'd just mix some sprite w/ a bit of coke. No one ever complained.
