I was wondering if they were going to do this and I'm glad that they did. It would have been bad to been watching the "new" game on T.V. and then having to go and play the "old" one.

they've added the lines behind the net, they've added the Salary Cap and the whole shebang. Crosby is going to be released through a patch as soon as he plays his first NHL game.

this is just a list of what I've heard the people like about the game in it's current stage:

The Good:

+ Fun as hell gameplay

+ League Leaders added back into the game

+ All starting Goaltender cyberfaces

+ Much less hitting

+ Improved visuals and presentation

+ Dynasty mode is deeper than Bill Gate's pocket

The Bad:

- Commentary still boring (but IMO I think it's still better than ESPN and the commentary sounds more in depth)

- Goalie still has AI-Gaffes

- Mini-games aren't fun

no

the only way for consoles is to go online and download the rosters/patches

Thats why I buy it for PC :)

we could always post what they put for his attributes on here so you can have him the same way that pc users/x-boxlive/PS2 online guys do. Then you can make him in create mode.

If it's anything like the NFL games, you can't make a good player and pay him as little as the entry contracts.

i just checked in at blockbuster, they still tell me the game will be on on the 16th.

also if you got to this link http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox/1152/NHL-06/, watch the video of vancouver and t-bay. you can see the new golaie lines and the new NHL logo... so is a good sign

Because none of these videogame sites know their ass from their elbow when it comes to hockey. Explaining why they don't set up worth a damn in any video i've seen and they obviously play on easy, hence the 8-8?!?!? on the scoreboard. You honestly think they know Crosby is an RBK man?

1. He's not wearing RBK cause of the reason you said or because another reason which would be there IS NO RBK in NHL06. Only Sega and Gretzky have RBK.

2. If you get this game for PC, it's clear that people will obviously fix the glove problems by replacing the team's gloves. Also other equipment such as sticks, pads, masks, and if your bent on seeing Crosby in an RBK helmet, then they'll have a template or an actual download set up for you.

That wasn't the real Crosby EA is gonna put in the game anyway ;)

I've had all the previous NHL's for PC over the last few years and only until last year that I noticed that The PC version was very similar to the console version in terms of graphics and visual presentation. for "06...do you think xbox/ps2/pc will all be the same or does PC still have the advantage ?

PC still has the advantage because of it's add-ons.
