Nike "free" shoes

Recommended Posts

I must admit I am really suspect about these. After all the years of R&D Nike suddenly decides that arch support and correction for over-pronators, etc is not as important as "strengthening the tendons in your feet". I think that it is a shoe that has its nitch, but it seems like a bunch of advertising BS. I also am a runner. I log 5 miles 5-6 days a week in the off season.

well it's the same thing with mission's S skates right? after years of "stiffness = power = speed", the's now "let your feet move the way they're supposed to". and i don't think this shoe fixes over pronation, it's just making your feet stronger in general

I don't think you're the target consumer if you have serious pro/supination issues..much like the old Sock series (racer and trainers) weren't for everyone with only 2 buckles to support the foot..

I have seen POP with the shoes that go into pretty good detail as to how you should adapt to them, you don't just put them on and log 40 miles a week

If shox 45's were 10 dollers cheaper like they were on that website I think I would rather get the shox.

Another thing, so are these shoes for running distances or warmups and cooldowns as JR said.

I'm really ressurecting an old thread here, but does anyone have these shoes? If so, did you find that they sized small? E.g., you usually wear a 9 in a running shoe and had to get a 9.5 in these...

Thanks

I was the other way around... I wear a 9.5 Nike running shoe, but in my Free Trainer 7.0's, I needed a 9.
