Eagle Custom Pro Gloves

Recommended Posts

i've been using eagle gloves for about 6 years now. i started with the x50, they were awesome, but i fell in love with the h34's. wore those for about 2 years and decided to get matching colors with my school in the L29's. i recently just purchased the custom pro gloves, and believe they are worth the price.

they're pretty much the L29s with inserts and split fingers. and a mustang palm, rather than the goat palm. i got them in black/white, the lhs near me had them in red/white as well (Boston University colors).

i can post a pic if anyone wants to see them.

Please do :)

ive got a pair of x70s and i love them more then the custom pros. i just find the custom pros too tapered off in the hand. the savards were a better glove IMHO. they fit differently compared too the custom pros

they got them in Boston University colors too, and in my opinion, are an awesome color scheme.

instead of the black fingers, they're red, and the rolls are white with a red cuff....

Pure Hockey in braintree, mass is where he got them.

I agree they are pretty sweet gloves, but spending $200 bucks on gloves won't give you soft goal scoring hands. this kid can buy all the eagles and innovative sticks he wants but hes still gonna have stone hands....

haha, I'm just messin around...I'm just bitter that he got those gloves before I did.

Now if I get them I won't be original. And yes, I do put scoring my touch in the hands of a $200 plus stick.

I'm going to get some custom gloves with leather shell, so color options are not as voluminous as with other materials, but what functional custom options are worthwhile? What can Eagle do to a glove?

I feel sort of jipped if I pay custom prices and all they do different from the stock model is stitch my name on them. What would you order up different on a stock L29?

What palms have the best feel and what kind of tricks can be done to the gussets and fingers?

I'm using a pair of borrowed Easton Z-Air Pros with mesh gussets and they feel great. Damn nice gloves.

I prefer the one piece fingers, but I've heard things can be done to the palms and gussets to improve mobility. True?

Eagle can do pretty much anything you want aslong as your wanting to pay it.

You can change the gussets on Eagles if you prefer something different and goat or digital palms are always popular upgrades. Plastic inserts are another popular pick but you have to pay extra for each area.

FYI: I ordered custom X70i's for a kid in early June, they showed up Monday. They were black with orange print, goat palm and his name on the cuff. They also screwed up his name.
