New Mission Helmet

Recommended Posts

PSS... The Mission/Itech Pro Dept. forgot to ship the 3rd Jersey coloured helmets.  LOL

Actually, the Canucks' third jersey helmet is the same as their home helmet as they are not taking part in the NHL Vintage program this year.

how do you know who is and isn't in the vintage thing? I'm more curious than anything else...

The only reason I know is that I have a friend who works for the Calgary Flames in their retail and merchandising. She also does all their ordering for their store outlets and the uniforms for hockey operations.

We were chatting about jerseys for this season and I mentioned the Canucks throwback uniforms and she replied "they won't be wearing those monstrosities this year."

WOW, Since as some people(you know who you are JR) claim that the Mission Helmet is not the Itech HC 100.

Those same people can explain to everyone how training camp hasn't started yet but they have all ready sized and converted 8 former Itech Players from one random team to Mission Helmets.

The Canucks Vintage Logo was awesome! You see people wearing that logo everywhere in Vancouver. At the games, they looked sharp!

I wonder if people know that the Old Canucks logo is a smiling whale?

cheers

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to forgive my skepticism on this point. I don't think someone who works for the Calgary Flames saying the Canucks will not be wearing vintage jerseys this year is exactly credible evidence to the fact. If you consider the fact that the vintage jerseys and similarily branded merchandise were the hottest Canucks items in memory (if you were looking for vintage jerseys or toques back at Xmas of 03 you know what I mean) than it would be an absolute foolish and incomprehensible marketing move on their part. I don't see that happening.

Well, considering she would know which teams are taking part in the on-ice Vintage program and how it relates to orders/scheduling I am inclined to believe her.

Just because the Canucks aren't slated to take part in the NHL On-ice Vintage Program doesn't mean that they can't continue to sell CCM Vintage merchandise.

The original Canucks logo is actually supposed to be a hockey rink with a stick in it to form a "C" through intersection.

Looks like lots of Canucks will be wearing them.

It's funny as you get use to certain players wearing certain buckets. Oh well, just a little more change for the new NHL!

I didn't know Sven Butenschon signed in Vancouver? He's got a bullet from the point (if I remember correctly from his Edmonton/Hamilton days).

Sadly, I can't recall if he had any other skillz.
