2.45/G to 2.99/G with some places well over $3. Home heating oil has jumped from $2.28 to $3.00/G as well and it's not even close to the time when those rates normally go up.

Here in Maine one station in town went from $2.59 before to $2.81 yesterday to $3.19 today. Have another station in town that is $3.39. Don't even mention heating oil. My wife works for a heating company and they are crazy right now. Everybody wants their tanks filled before it goes up anymore.

I've been debating if I should fill my tank or try and ride out the insanity. I think it's time to take down the big ass tree in my yard and use the fireplace.

If you do, just a little pice of firefighter advise - make sure the chimney is cleaned and if it doesn't have one, think about having it lined.

We already called a couple of chimney sweeps. We just got the house in June and I have no idea the last time it was cleaned. I have to patch the crown this weekend.

I heard places are as high as $6 a gallon, and are going to get even higher...

Thank God I don't drive yet

I heard about those places in GA and the governor there has already indicated that those gas stations will be prosecuted for price gouging.

Just in Denver I see one place with the high grade at 3.02 while down the road its at 2.89. What the hell is up with that?

God I had these gas companies.

I can work from my home office anytime I want so that will help but GEEZ!

Here in St. Louie, it went from $2.39 Monday to $2.69 Tuesday to $2.99 Wednesday. Now may be time to get rid of the SUV....

EDIT: Just went up to $3.19 as I drove home from my hockey game at 9pm..unreal. May have to think about cutting back on hockey, but drastic times call for drastic measures.

For me it's either get rid of the SUV or start sleeping at the shop. My 70 mile round trip is going to really hurt and we don't have the volume of sales that will let me get a new car, yet.

On a side note, I was supposed to go see the out-laws this weekend in NC. Anyone going that way with room for two? This is like paying to be caned in Singapore.
