A_Steeves12 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2005 well since Katrina here (halifax NS) the gas prices have gone from $1.09L (before Katrina) now yesterday they jumped to $1.19L in the morning then around supper time yesterday the jumped agian to $1.28L. Now today when i was at the gym on the radio there were people calling the local radio station and say gas was up to $1.38L unreal. so how much have the gas prices gone up in your area since Katrina? Don't even mention heating oil. My wife works for a heating company and they are crazy right now. Everybody wants their tanks filled before it goes up anymore. Don't even mention heating oil. My wife works for a heating company and they are crazy right now. Everybody wants their tanks filled before it goes up anymore. I've been debating if I should fill my tank or try and ride out the insanity. I think it's time to take down the big ass tree in my yard and use the fireplace. Now may be time to get rid of the SUV....EDIT: Just went up to $3.19 as I drove home from my hockey game at 9pm..unreal.
