easton skate/stick promo

Recommended Posts

Kinda hard to sell a skate that's not even in their lineup yet.

It's probably a few of their skates, and different sticks depending on what model you buy.

There will be a promotion this year, just an issue of when and what that is all speculation at this time. June is highly possible though.

Like the $230 Stealth, Easton are pushing to see how far mommy and daddy will go when junior cries for the newest, most expensive equipment. Unfortunately for all of us, if these two products are successful and they sell them for those high prices in decent volume, the $800 skate and $300 stick are only a season away.

In regard to your statement above - I believe there is very little chance that material or design will make these skates $250 dollars better than Vapor XX's or Vectors (which if you shop around for you can get below $400). Throwing in a $130 stick when you are gouging the customer from the get go does not make this a deal. Yes, it may make the consumer feel better about the purchase (i.e. - this pair of skate really only cost me $520 since they thru in a stick) but the fact remains that the consumer paid $120 more than some of the best skates out there sell for. Would you pay sticker price for a car if they gave you a free tank of gas? The key here is what is the real value of the skate. IMHO - cannot be $650 as I've read in posts.

I was under the impression it had always been the top 3 skates in Eastons line. I wasn't sure about the Synthesis promotion, but back when they did the Z-core shafts it was.

If thats true then you can get a good deal. I was under the impression that Easton skates were a bit less expensive than their competitors. If you can buy a mid-line skate and get the free stick, then this is a good deal.

Here you go:

From June 1-30, 2004. Purchase either ZAir Comp, Air SBx, Air, or JR ZAir Comp skates, and receive a Easton Synergy Si-Core Stick.

K i got a question about that. are the skates actually like 700 dollars or whatever they are or do they add on the price of the synergy and make it sound like your getting a deal?

Probobly a little bit of both. I've heard anywhere from 500-900 dollars for the Synergy skates. Anyways ,if you get Comps for $400 its a deal if you think the skates were only $250 after you get a free $150 stick. Even better for the cheaper skates.

and plus i bet all they did was add orange to the 04 comp, and at hockeygiant c03 comp se's go for 199. if you buy that and a si-core, it is cheaper still i think

Now last year they gave pro blades away with the Synthesis promotion, or at least i heard, does that mean they will give away Pro Si-Cores? Also is the stick still under the 30 day warranty?

Not sure of the Pro-Stock Si-cores, but I believe it will still be under the warranty policy.
