easton z-air 03 gloves

i bought my easton z-air gloves in november, and they r already ripping.if anyone else has used them i would like to know if you had the same problem. if it matters i play 4-5 times a week

It should be expected from a nash/clarino palm when you play so much. What color tape do you have on your handle? Do you have any special grips or anything as well? A lot of factors could also lead to premature breakdown of the palm.

I have easton z-airs 00 and they are made of nash and kangaroo skin, if taht is not durable waht materials are durable palms made of?

Black tape has acid in it which eats through your palms

I thought that wives tale was cracked years ago... I guess it's possible. I can't see a reason that they would still use acid based dye, I mean it's not like the dye stays with the tape anyway... acrylic would be much cheaper (I thought all tape nowadays used acrylic).

Anyhoo, never noticed a difference one way or the other on my gloves (and I have a few pair).

Are we talking about black cloth tape? That's what I use and the palms in my SherWood 5060's have held up great.
