I'm having an arguement with my friend on which holder is better. I say that Tuuks are better performance and durabity wise, but he thinks Razor Bladz are the better holder. What are your thoughts?"

Judging just off what I've seen around here and in the NHL, I'd say Tuuks are the far superior blades. I've rarely seen any high-end Easton skate that still have their original holders on them.

I believe that razor bladz are better because 90% of the NHL players use razor bladz. All of the players in the NHL and AHL that use Vapour XX skates usually remove the holder on their skates and place razor bladz on them. I find that after lots of extensive research, most people prefer razor bladz over t-blades or tuuks. Many pro hockey players with grafs changed their holder to razor bladz because their performance is unbelievable.

I hardly ever see the Easton holders on anybody's skate. Alot of Tuuk custom+ though, which is what I put on my Comp SE's when I bought them. I threw the razor blade holder away.

Most people wearing Easton skates at the pro level remove the Easton holders.

I have actually seen a lot of players who use easton skates using the razor bladz, but I would agree that tuuks are better.

At the pro level? I've seen very few.

I agree Pros, hardly ever. Local, almost anyone who has Easton skates don't change the holder. I guess they just arnt breaking them I guess. I've seen them broken in games on 2 different occasions, but the kid keeps putting easton holders back on .

I think Tuuk Custom + is the best holder period. I am using Lightspeeds now and used Cusom +'s before that and like them better. In my opinion Razor Blades are teribble. They break and so does the steel.

what do you use then ?

Most likely T-Blades or maybe ICM or CCM Holder

Why do you always feel the need to answer questions for other people? We honestly don't care what your guess is.

And I honestly dont care what you think. People post stupider crap then me (the 4 topics about taping a blade, for starters) and I'm just trying to help. I was just trying to show that there are other types of holders besides Tuuk and Easton that he could be using.

How do you know? Can you prove it? Pictures... anything?

Anyway, I'd say about 95% don't use razor bladz.

Craig Conroy uses razor bladz and he is a good player and he's in the nhl so everyone must use them. Everyone in the nhl is sponsored by the the same company, so if one person wears razor bladz, everyone else wants too and does wear them.

Here, Pavel Datsyuk if wearing razor bladz. Here is two very good examples of excellent all stars who wear razor bladz. These guys are proving that anyone who wears razor bladz are amazing and if you want to be in the NHL, wearing razor bladz is a good way to get on the road to success. So there, judging by these pictures, razor bladz are more popular and better.

When I got Z-Airs a few years back, I HATED the Razor Bladz. I had them replaced a couple practices into the season. HORRIBLE HOLDERS! In my opinion, you can't go wrong with TUUKS (although, I have to say, I am not a very big fan of the perf. runners).
