Axion Blade 1050

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used these blades yet? I think they're relatively new for this year. I'm looking for some opinions on the blade, as I've been on a manhunt for a Drury type cruve, and best I could find was a Crosby in this blade. Only thing is, the blades not the lightest, and comes with a $69.99 cdn price tag. So I'm wondering if the blade would be worth the purchase, or should I just continue searching.

I'd try to find a Nike Apollo blade, P66 pattern.

are they good, durability wise? i've only seen one in person, and it was a brindamour.

i've had my apollo blade for quite some time now...i don't take slappers and it's lasted me a good 20+ games as well as stick and puck sessions (where i swear i try to practice my slappers...). still about as stiff as the day i got it. i wouldn't hestiate in buying another one myself. if you're looking for the drury curve, go for the lemiuex, which on the apollo blade is listed as a pm6.

at that price i they it is poor value,

i tried one, the thing weighed a tonne, 250g

compare to a Zcarbon which is $89.99cdn, is 155g

100g difference, everyone would notice.

i found the easton ultralite (175g) pretty durable for a composite, but performance was so so...

I also have used an apollo blade in the PM9 pattern, it was a great blade stiff great feel and really durable, up until some kid stepped on it and it craked in half. but thats not the blades fault.

lee drury curves are very hard to come by here. you might be able to find 04 synergys in drury or prostock in druryish curves but other then that there almost nothing. i wouldnt shell out the 69.99 for the 1025 id go with the XD at 59.99 if you can find it in a drury clone

To bad the eastons "focus flex" (which does nothing btw) dicides to explode all the time.

Had a buddy of mines custom blade and it does weigh a tonne.

Guys got arms like tree trunks so doesn't matter for him but I found it weigh to heavy and the balance on the shaft was terrible as a result
