Quintin 16 Report post Posted November 21, 2005 Alright, mine would be the shootout not long ago. I was the last person to shoot and being a beginner I was thinking "Oh sh*t! I'm just gonna screw up". I just went for it, slow at the start and went full on ahead just before I reached the blue line. I skated in, deked to make it look I was aiming top corner (I can't shoot top corner even if my life depended on it), stickhandled real quick and snapped it five hole.Next thing I heard was the keeper going "F*CK!" beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 I've never played competitive hockey, but some of my best memories come from street hockey games with friends or rec ice games.I think I remember probably 4 or 5 or so goals that were special to me:One was a tap in off a two on one rush with a guy I didn't like too much (and vice versa) in a street hockey game.Second was the goal I scored in my first company ice hockey game - a wrister from the slot.Third was a street hockey goal, I scored thru 3 guys with a roofer under the crossbar.Fourth was a deke where I *finally* fooled a goalie and had him completely beat (a roller game). Fifth: a sniped shot to the top-right corner with everyone watching/waiting for me to move as I was holding the puck at the top of the slot. Street hockey on a tennis court. No championships yet, but hoping down the road that a rec division one is in store...

Dougie8 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 1)Way back in Atoms there was two teams from my town in our league and we were absolutely killing every team we played in the season (probably had about almost 400 points that season)But we met in the championship game and WE ended up winning 12-6 and i scored six of our 12 goals... that felt great, cause we were the underdogs2) Last year in the final game of a tournament we tied and went to a shoot out and i was the second shooter for my team and we were down one already, I usually deke to my backhand but for some reason i decided to go forehand and it worked. (some other memorable times)3) A couple years ago, A player slashed our goalie so i went and got him out of there and he fell flat on his ass and then another player on there team comes and pushes me so i pushed him he fell on his ass and then the first guy came and i pushed him on his ass and then the second guy came and He ended up on his ass too,They both got roughingI got rouging too

beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 1. Breaking my goalies wedding ring with a slapper.2. Finding out I dented the titanium plate in another guys ankle. What was his ring made of? Plastic? If you busted his ring thru his trapper (I'm assuming he catches left), you must've busted his hand too...and denting the guy's ankle plate thru his skate?Should we start calling you Chopper, or what? Crazy Otto 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 1. Getting the game winner in a league playoff game.2. Checking a guy into the boards so hard it knocked the door open (the door leading to the dressing rooms, not the bench). We both fell off the ice and ended up in a pile on the floor and the ref stopped the game while the other players were standing on the ice laughing at us. :D
sonsplayhockey 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 Last year at my first game coaching we lost 6-2. This year we played the same team. Were spanking them so bad, I pulled my oldest son (6) from the goal in the 3rd period and put in my other son (4), so the other team might have a chance to score. They did finally score one on him but not before my eldest scored 6 on them in only 1 period. My first game where I shut my mouth after the first 10 minutes and just let them play. At that point, they did not need any coaching. Gave me a satisfaction that me and the other coaches had done what we needed to do, prepare them through practice. #28tz 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 I just had a tournament this weekend in which the top 12 teams in the country qualify for and we came 6th so ending up 6th in the country was a great moment for us considering we had the smallest squad and we were able to compete with teams with 4 or 5 international players. Another great moment for me was scoring around 70 goals for my team this year which is the best i have ever done in a season.

rausch27 1 Report post Posted November 22, 2005 ive had a lot of sweet game winners , but despite those id have to say a few weeks ago at this tourney i was in , some kid checked me from behind and we were about to go at it when my coach said skate away and i just listened to him, so next play the same kid checks me but i dont fall so he slashes my skate blade so i fall and says "what now b*tch!?" and right then i knew i had to f*ck this kids world up. later in the game i was skating in their zone with the puck straight at this kid, i see him coming full speed at me for a check , so i just stand my ground and the kid goes bouncing off of me, and i didnt even move an inch , the whole rink went crazing, kids banging their sticks, best moment ever! It was the format that goes 5 on 5, 4 on 4, 3 on 3 and so on. I was put out 1 on 1, scored and won the a championship. Good times.

It split the band where it hit and even knocked a couple of small stones out of the band on top. As for teh plate, evidently there is the imprint of an eyelet on the plate. I've asked for photographic evidence so I can frame it. B)
