Warrior "Starskie"

a novius or an 1100 with an updated blade I would assume , seeing as the Hockey monkey website says that it is fused has a new blade .

Maybe someone happens to know what sticks are equivalent to the old Inno's...

I don't know too many people who are able to pick up a stick and say, "whoa this one has a boron spine in it!" anyway.

The Draper curve I saw at the shop was along the lines of a Sakic/Nash/Rafalski/Naslund pattern. As I mentioned earlier, the stick felt like a Vapor XXX as far as weight and shaft dimensions.

It's probably an 1100 with the True1 blade. If you look, it has that same checkerboard design to it. Now I don't know if the True1 blade performed better than the 1100 blade, but it did look different, and that at least seems to be the case here.

i hope they make some tapered blades the same as the inno ones because i really want to try one and every store ive checked on the internet only has fedorov LH tapered innos.

epuck has the tapered blade in LH Federov, Mogilny and Kovalev.

What are the Starskie's supposed to be equivalent to?

The Dolomite = 1100 correct?

and the Big Daddy = True 1 correct?

Considering the price of the Starskie, and what others have said about the Mack Daddy being the top model, I would imagine that the order would be:

Starskie (=Inno 1100 with different blade) - bottom end

Dolomite (=True-1) - mid

Mack Daddy (=new design) - top end

Considering that so many NHLers are suddenly using a Warrior stick (in whatever paint scheme - we know by now that the paint job on NHLers sticks doesn't tell you what type of stick it is!) makes me think that at least one of the Warrior sticks is a new design, most likley the Mack Daddy. Also, as someone mentioend on a different thread, why would Warrior recruit people from other companies (eg Easton) if all they were going to do is to re-release old Innos?

sorry i worded that poorly. what i meant to say is that every site i have found that has inno tapered blades in LH only has the fedorov pattern. on epuck when you select the mogily and kovalev patterns and then select what hand you want it only gives you RH as an option.

Based on the shaft shape and weight of the Starskie that I saw at the shop, I think you have the Starskie and Dolomite switched in your guess.

OK here's the skinny on the Warrior retail line-up and their Inno counterparts - just spoke with a guy who does pro orders for Warrior (formerly an Inno guy):

Dolomite: This is the Inno 1100 - this will be the long-term retail model (see Starskie)

Starskie: Also the Inno 1100 (ie exact same stick as the Dolomite, just with the 70's paint job). The plan is to roll this out first as a limited produciton model for the Xmas season, to be followed up by the Dolomite

MacDaddy: 2nd generation True1 (slightly lighter than the original)

Royale: Lower price point fused stick (heavier, potentially more durable)

They will have 7 curves available (not sure if all 7 will be available on all sticks), presumably many of the same ones as available on the Inno products.

Hope this helps.

Damn, I knew I was forgetting to ask something.

Tapered: Dolomite graphics tapered shaft and Dolomite tapered blades

Standard: AK27 standard shaft (Gold and Black, so the AK stands for Alexei Kovalev of course) and AK27 standard blades

Both of these shafts are the same construction as the old 1100s.

A little off topic:

I talked to the Inno distributor for Germany lately and when asking him about Warrior he said that despite all the changes in the company they will keep the Inno line of stuff in their catalogue for next year. I was wondering if that is just a "last batch" or if the Innovative brand name will continue is some way. Or is is it dead for good?
