Busy day for the Waiver Wire

So, with Souray out, Markov suspended and Komisarek flying home to deal with a family matter (which I'm pretty sure is his dying Mother) Montreal has 4 D-men tonight v Ottawa...

Rivet, Boulion, Streit & Dandenault.

Bets on how many Ottawa scores?

In other news...surprised to see Gamache go. I thought he was one of those guys who would stay in the "A" this year...and be really ready for the NHL next season.

Nashville just has/had too many of the same players like Gamache. Smaller players with decent skill, but you can't thrive when you're bouncing from line-to-line.

I'm interested to see whether Huselius is picked up. Tons of skill, still young, but does make 1.25 a year. I guess Hainsey isn't that bad for less than the league minimum and Columbus isn't a bad place for him. They can sit through him mistakes alot easier than Montreal.

Is Montreal going with 4 D, or are they putting some guys back on the point? It's on TSN right?

What?? Huselius is on the waivers?

I hope the habs will take him.

My god, Thibault really did not did the job this year, I hope he will find another place, nice local guys, I was with him when Khabibulin signed with the hawks this summer, useless to say he was frustrated.

i wonder why the bruins got rid of orr

He's useless

They had hoped Orr would clear waivers and would then be assigned to Providence. From today's Boston Herald:

The team felt Orr, while he has performed the difficult task of enforcer, was simply not needed. He had been scratched the last four games. In 20 games, he had zero points, one shot and 27 PIM.

“That role has diminished, for sure,†O’Connell said. “The game has changed.â€

NHL Network?

I assume they'll have look-in's if not the whole game...I dont' get it, so I don't keep up with what's on it.

RDS will have it, if you have Digital Cable...and there might be local Ottawa coverage if you have a dish.

I'll agree. The role of the one dimensional "enforcer" has all but disappeared this year. You need hands that can handle put the puck in the net as well as drop the gloves when needed.

Ok, I do agree with that, but if I have to sit through one more game watching Bundy try to skate, I will have no other choice but to shoot myself...

Chris Therien is BRUUUUTAL !

You know what, I'm starting a Chris Therien "hate club"...

Hatcher's played a lot better lately. He was terrible at the beginning of the year.

Watching Therien trying to skate is just brutal. Just be happy that Ryan Ready didn't play much tonight. He and Therien could compete for the NHL's slowest skater.

I was just trying to be a bit more succinct for a change.
