sorry if this is in the wrong spot, please move if needed. but last year, on the NHL center ice pkg (in the states) we got some of the junior tournament games... this year (now we have direct TV, instead of digital cable) and so far no games are listed. should they be? its the same package, so youd think they would still be on there right?

Ive got the NHL Center Ice on digital cable and its not playing any of the WJC games. Wish ESPN would carry at least the medal games.

Most of the time the games are on ESPN but they are not live. They are shown a couple of hours after, tape delay.

i just watched USA vs NORWAY on direct tv center ice. i thought i read that center ice will be playing all USA games

that game ended up showing up... but i think it said "to be announced" the whole time on the listing guide. huh. hopefully the rest of the USA games are shown... wish i could see the canada ones as well

Chalk up another win for the US, beating finland 5-4 or 6-5. Lucky they pulled it out, they played poorly on defense.

A 6-5 victory for the USA. Lots of penalties. More than at the beginning of the NHL season.

That Canada Vs Norway game had so much penalties it was incredible. When you think the NHL is bad, chek that game out, penalties for beeing too strong, normal checks beeing called.

yeah.. the officiating is.... not good to say the least. some of the calls are simply brutal.

side note... why do the canadian people hate the US so much? is it only because they are their biggest road block?

Everyone was waiting for a match penalty after the meller at the end of the game when the Norwegian player crashed the net. That would have been pretty bad for Canada but they were frustrated and I understand them. So much penalties kills the tempo of the game and it's borring to watch a game when you hear the ref signal penalties like the Downie one for hooking when I just touched the guy with his stick, he never really hooked him. And that norwegian guy who got a penalty for boarding Chipchura, thos kinda hits happen all the time and they never get called, Chipchura didn't even noticed getting hit i think. A couple of years ago the IIHF installed the fast faceoff to accelerate the tempo of the game but now they are killing that tempo by calling penalties like they did since the beginning of the tournament.

And Why they hate american so much, cause we canadians hate to be compared as a backyard to america. We just want to be better then americans and the almost only thing that were are better is hockey. When that top position in any tournament gets threatned we kinda hate those who might take it away from us, at this tournament the big threat is the americans, I am sure that in Kamloops and Kelowna the Russian team is getting the same treatment.

The refs are new to the "call it all" style of officiating that the NHL is using. It took the NHL refs a little while and constant feedback to get it right.

It definitly is, All the games I've gone to, Sweden vs. Russia, Sweden was getting a standing applause every goal, slovakia vs. Latvia, Latvia was getting the same treatment as Sweden

Russia Vs. Slovakia, Slovakia was getting cheered for.
