Bauer XX stick um not worth it

Ok get this. I got a brand new bauer vapor XX stick um OPS for christmas. I tried it out on new year's day and 15 minutes into the game it snaps around the shaft area. I did take a slash due to i was in front of the net, but it wasnt a big slash. It wasnt called because it wasnt that huge of a slash. I was curious to see if people with the same stick as me has had this problem. Is it a good stick or did i just get a dud?

O and incase you were wondering, my mom bought it in november, so the warrenty is up.

i bought one on boxing day on sale, ive used it in 4 games no problems so far (knock on wood)

Its a lightweight performance stick. My vapor XX lasted 20 games. Maybe the slash was harder than you thought, or just in that perfect spot.

I hav had 4 vapour xx stick ums, three of those have already snapped in a similar place (around the shaft area) and none of these occured from big slashes just knocks etc. My fourth was doing alright but now has a big chip in it in the samearea so in next use reckon will snap in the same way, so i wouldn't recommend buying anymore.

Had mine for almost 2 months and no problems, but it's pro stock so who knows.

Ive had mine for about 5 months and it has taken alot of nasty slashes, and mine is still going strong ,it has a few big chips on the yellow part of the shaft ,but other then that great stick.

My Vapor XX, which i got right when they came out, lasted me a year and two days, then broke in my living room when i flexed it. I found it to be quite the durable stick.

I have two Vapor XX stick um's, one is pretty much brand new, used about 4-5 times, and the other i had five months before the blade cracked, and most the foam came out.

I would think that Bauer wold accomidate you and give you a replacement. As long as the stick only shows 15 minutes of play and not look like its gone through a war they should hook you up..........should

I've used mine in one practice and a game...(its not a Max Stick'um though)

Its like a Max Stick'um but with no grip, its Pro Stock (custom colours)

I like it so far, I still have to get used to the curve and everything.

Im still using my grip XX that I got last Christmas (not stickum). Its has some big dents in the blade but its holding up pretty well...but on the other hand, I dont break sticks that often so take this opinion with a grain of salt.
