In iTunes go to File>Prefernces>Advanced

I have recently discovered that throwing your ipod against a brick wall 4-5 times is an alternate solution to getting your ipod un-frozen!

With the exception of 3-4 dents in the ipod, it works great afterwards!

And it was the biggest mistake ever waking up today... :( :(

I just found iMesh, which so far is great. However, it won't let me import songs into iTunes, so no iPod, no burning. Is there any sort of converter?

ipod just went to the :( ipod. 4th time it has happened. I need it for DJing a hockey game. Anything i can do? Swearing at it doesnt work

Try dropping it from 1.5feet down onto the chargeport. Wood floors work best.

It fixed mine, then i went out and bought an IAudio A2. No more apple products for me.

Someone may have already answered this but I didnt find it. I was wondering is there a way to get a dvd that you own into itunes and onto a video other than using something like videora that you have to pay for.

Drop it down the stairs. It worked for like 6 of my freinds iPod's.

Bringin back the thread

Just upgraded from an older mini ipod that they no longer make to a new 30 gb video ipod. question is am i allowed to plug in my new ipod to my old itunes and still transfer those songs? I was told theres something about a serial number or something so that only one ipod can take that itunes downloads. i dont want to have to re-download 1500 songs

Damn Vapor and his ban-causing shenanigans...

All right, I got my wife an 8gb Nano this weekend. It comes about 80% charged so after she loaded her music on there, Think Tank decides to use it before charging it. I'm by-the-book and figured that's going to goof the battery up but she thinks it'll be fine. Aren't you supposed to have a 100% charge before using it?

I believe that is what it says, but I never do it with my new iPods. Haven't had a single problem that I recall.

I reckon it's a way to stop people from calling Apple and complaining because the iPod they got fresh from the box died after an hour. I dunno, I always let it charge but then again I'd be syncing it with stuff all the while.

Is it possible to download my ipod onto my daughter's laptop, and then could she access some of those tunes to put on HER ipod? If it's possible, any tips on how to go about this? Or, what to avoid?

The reason I ask, is her 2 month old hard drive crashed a few weeks ago... yes, now have an external HD for complete backup... but she has lost everything. Homework, school assignments, music, images... the works. I figure there will be more time available for homework if she can just access my music.

Yes.

Plug in the ipod, go to my computer and click on the ipod. Then go tools-->folder options-->view-->Show Hidden Files/Folders. Then you can just drag and drop the files anywhere.

Does anyone know of a good metal or plastic case that will be able to handle bails off of jumps in snowboarding? The season just started and I want to listen to some tunes so I need a good, cheap case to keep my ipod video protected. Do you think it would be a better idea to get a cheap mp3 player instead ?

Thanks!
