Recommended Posts

i called bauer asking when im getting my new XXX lite and they said they aren't getting any 87 flex pm 9 until the end of jan but she said she could send in a request for a substitute for a different stick. what should i do, should i wait or get a sub, and if a sub what stick should i get instead????

If you are used to the feeling of a XXX-lite, you will not like the endure. it is indeed more durable, but it feels alot heavier and bulkier.

The only alternative from bauer imo is the XXX, which kind of fills the gap between the endure and the XXX-lite in both performance and dureability.

If you look for an alternative outside of bauer, try the stealth. it's very similar to the XXX-lite.

well i cant say that i was used to the feel i mean i got to use the stick for a whole three days! so idk what i should do

Does this maybe tell you something? You got to use your first one for 3 days till it broke. The store is low on them because people are breaking so many of them. It's not worth it to get the XXX lite over the XXX for a small savings in weight if the sticks are not lasting at all.

That's why I tend to avoid brand new sticks until I see what the problems are.

exactly correct

if uve got a budget and dont arent one for thinkin you can dangle everyone with a new stick

wait a year til they edit it a little and so you know it aint a protoype

well I think you have to remember that you are trying to warranty an '06 stick that had a limited release, availability was always going to be an issue..

well i can only get a bauer subsitute and yes i feel stupid for buying one before hearing all the complaints on durability don't rub it in. but should i get the xxx or the endure. i play defense and am not one to get a break away or have fancy goals, im in the corner digging out the puck or blasting a slapshot from the point ;)

every company has had issues with sticks during an early run..I've seen blades just fly out at a NARCh event from quite a few companies who had to have it in their athletes hands..etc..it happens...but its a chance you take when you get anything during its first launch..from computers to cars to gear...

i have an Easton Stealth, and it has lasted me for around 4 months now. i dont see any signs of cracks anywhere on the shaft or the blade, and i highly recomend it

You must be playing novice hockey and not going near the puck.

My XN10 is in fine condition after about a month and a half, but that's because it started life not doing much for the first month. It's been going down-hill once I started to get active. Toe is looking a little worse, and some small chunks out of the heel (right below fuse point).

Not necessarily, theres tons of variables. My stealth has lasted me a while because I'm not overly hard on it (rarely take slap, rarely slash, don't dig in the corners..) and I've been lucky. My SL on the other hand :D

i have had better durability with easton. my stealth grip has lasted since they first came out. i play 19u travel hockey and high school and it has still held up!
