Koho Onepiece

i was looking around in the storage room at my school today and i noticed a blue Koho that had an oval shaft. It seemed to be composite (hollow shaft) and it was a one peice, does anyone know anything about this stick?

Not sure about that stick but the KOHO one piece is the revolution, is it not?

it's a farely old stick if we're talking about the same stick, only think i could compare with it with is the momentum

is it frigging heavy? Cause if so, it's the XL-1 (?), one of the first OPSs made in the 80s.

Yeah, if it's extremely oval, it's the XL-1.

yes, its extremely oval. Does anyone know why Koho discontinued it? Was it any good?

If I remember correctly, it was deemed illegal for professional use.

There were three Koho XLs

1) Black with yellow lettering, oval (XL-1)

2) Blue with yellow lettering, oval (XL-4)

3) Blue with white lettering and square. I forget the model number.

All had an ABS type of blade and all were next to impossible to use. They retailed for the 40 - 60 dollar range.

Yup thats one of them. Pretty heavy and hallow. Nice composite smell when you cut them or they broke. <_<

how were they impossible to use? seems like a joined 2 peice combo, just hte blade is really weird

They were impossible to use as the curve selection was terrible, there was NO feel for the puck, the shaft was to slippery and hard to hold, and the shaft was super stiff.

Other than that great stick. :lol:

I knew a kid that had one of those way back when and the thing was just awful.
