His 4 goals were on 4 shots too. Talk about making the most of your opportunities.

The Habs FINALLY played a good game. Hope it continues against Ottawa & Toronto.

It was nice to see the Habs not be physically dominated as they usually are espically against a big team like the Flyers. Bulis was great but I thought the whole team was solid although Huet looked very shaky at times but he got the job done which is more then I can say for Theodore.

I was watching the game at my friends house and I think he had 2 at the time. When I got home, I turned the game on and heard that he got 4, Way to go Jan, I wish they would of put him out there for the open net,to get 5

The Habs were dominated for long stretches of time. Some of their players busted ass all night long but I think the only time the Philly announcers mentioned Kovalev during the first two periods is when they talked about how ineffective he was.

I didn't think Philly pulled Esche.

yeah they pulled esche, but when your losing by 2 goals and you pull the goalie with 40 seconds left, it sorta defeats the purpose.

Okay, I was flipping back and forth, saw him in the net with under a minute left and then Philly called a time-out so I stopped watching.

Kovalev is a great talent, but he was outperformed in Carolina by Plekanec who had waaay less ice time and by Jan Bulis last night. With the talent Kovalev has and the $ he's making he should be the best forward on his team or close to it most nights...he wasn't the last two games. Hopefully he will be tonight against Ottawa..and if Bulis and Plekanec can keep up their stellar play then that'll give Montreal an even better shot at winning. They have to put together some wins if they want to make the playoffs...a good game or two once in a while followed by a few losses is not going to cut it.

Ever since Bulis has moved from the wing, to centre, he has been on fire. It's like he has been let out of a cage. He is quite possibly the best forward on the Habs.

I don't know about the best forward, but he is a very good overall player. He's not the best scorer on the team, but can score. He's not the strongest player on the team, but can receive and take a hit and is strong. He can also kill penalties, plays well defensively and generally makes good decisions. He did well in the Czech repubulic finishing 3rd in the league in scoring or something like that and has lead the Canadiens in preseason scoring a few times, but has never put it together in an NHL season. He's not going to score 4 goals too often, but he is definitely a valuable two way player...if the Habs do make some moves they should not move Bulis.
