Official puck weight

Recommended Posts

I love my smart hockey ball, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my mediocre stick handleing. I mostly use it on my carpet in the living room. I dont like it on the lineolium floor in the kitchen.

Anyone know if they make weighted-pucks heavier than the 10 oz. orange ones?

look for brass ones. Bobby Clarke may have a he could give you.

Edit - I was just joking since Bobby Clarke used to use a brass puck (I think it's in the HHOF), but when I did a search I found something called underwater hockey. Apparently they use 2 pound brass pucks.

Yep our coach has used steel pucks with us before! :D

The ones I have are aluminum, not steel....great for passing practice...just don't shoot one

i make my own pucks out of lead (i made a mold and had a dude at a machine shop make them) only cost around $15 each...

the orange 10oz are great for shooting and all around skills...

the best technique is to:

line up 5 black pucks, rip through them

line up 20 orange pucks and rip through them too.

then grab a few blue pucks and go at it (really lets you see the improvements from the orange pucks)

then stickhandle a while with the "phat puck"

as you see i have lots of money and time to waste, i'm sure there are better methods.
