Sherwood taper takes standard blades

I have a sherwood momentum taper shaft and it takes tapered blades not standard. I really like this shaft. If you can find one I suggest getting it. Its extremely light, and durable.

the taper is a orange standard shaft that's been around for a couple of years. momentum taper is different.

Eagles39 how is the momentum in terms of feel if you could relate it to any other stick?

also does anyone know if theres any difference between the synergy2 and the synthestis other than the paint job? and anyone got anymore info on how the XV performs, the $80 price tag on it is defenitally learning me towards buying one..

How does the L-2 85 flex compare to the Stealth 100 flex? I'm using a cut stealth 100 flex and it feels the same as a novius 300 flex and some easton 85s.

they are probably about the same kkancho. The stealth has a thinner shaft which probably gives it a little more flex. I dont know about a cut one though. It depends on how much you took off.

im looken for a stick that will give me the best feel

The blade is going to be more important than the shaft for the feel. If your looking for a shaft I would say to look for one that is durable and comes in the right flex. If you want a whip flex go with the R2XN10, if you want something stiffer, you can look at the XV, L2, or 6k. Like I said, the blade is going to be more important when it comes to the feel of a two piece set up.

I cut it just enough to fit a tapered blade. After I insterted the blade, I didn't have to add a butt end either because the length of the stick was the same as when it wasn't cut =).

what blade goes well with a R2 XN10?

I have used Christian wood and composite as well as TPS wood and composite in mine. Any of them are fine.

What online shops have Christian wood or any tapered wood? Only tapered wood I see are the easton hybrids.

I mostly used customs. Check and see if they have a dealer near you in the dealer locator in the christian website.

none in ontario but it looks like they have an online shop on their website. Do you know how much the tapered wood weighs by any chance?

Last year they had three models and the lightest one was lighter than any comp blade on the market. I've been out for a while, I probably should re-order some.

I just found the custom blade order form. This is pretty cool.. I think I'll try this out and get a 3/4" toe curve.

You guys really need to get off this weight kick and just go with what feels good in your hands.

Light sticks feel good in my hands..

Like they said, the blade will be important for feel. I see you chose a XV shaft (i've never used it) so why not pair it with an XV blade? They have the best feel i've ever tried in a blade, slightly better than an Inno much better than a si-core.

And your shaft/blade colors will match if you think looks is important :D

I'm talking about the kids who have to know what each stick/shaft weighs as if they can feel a 5-10 gram difference between sticks.

how has the XV shaft performed for anyone who has used it?

I love mine. I've tried a couple different tapered shafts and I keep going back to the XV. Some people have issues with the grip coming off but I haven't had that on any of mine.

I have broken 2 of them though. One was a check so nothing you can do there and the other was during a shot. One shaft was a year old and the other was about 8 months old and I play 4-5 times a week so they held up pretty good.

I purchased 2 new ones to replace them and they have been fine so far.
