I Finally Scored!

Hey gang I just finally crossed a major milestone in my learning to play Hockey. I got my first goal tonight! It wasn't great, it wasn't pretty, but it went in.

I got the puck just after the redline and was trying to send it in so I fired off a very weak wrister toward goal. There was noone between me and goal, but I got excited and didn't even think to skate it in even with the coach yelling at me from the bench. I don't have a good wrist shot yet, heck I don't have a good anything yet. This puck went slow, glove side, and the goalie just missed it as it slid under his stick.

We still ended up losing 1-3, but at least they didn't shut us out like they did last game.

I scored my first goal of the season a few weeks ago (I was in Mexico until January...so I didn't start unil Jan 15)

Feels great to get the big 0 off your chest. Just work on your shot and more wull come.

Mine wasn't a pretty goal either, but then again, none of mine are. I just picked the puck up in the corner and spun and threw the goal on net. It hit two pairs of skates and then went in.

I remember in my first real game I scored twice, then I didn't score again for the rest of the season. :lol:

I scored my first one when i was 8, back when i played D :lol:

GWG during the first match of the season (1-0 win), i didnt score another one for 5 more years (cuz i stopped playing after that season for a while).

first goal..oh yes. first goal, first shift, first shot by me in a game. squirt. my team did sick that year. ended with 20+ goals. decent wrist shot from top of circles. it was away game, i think they were playing music and i think i was dancing a bit :D anyways good job.

Oh yeah, 2nd career goal. Bantam, first game/shift/shot. Backahand from the top of the crease. That season went better, won sectionals.

i remember my first goal...

i play d now, and dont get goals often. i get the occasional one, but every game i get 2-3 assists(im pretty consistant)

I don't remember my first goal, but I do remember a few crazy ones I had. Whether or not you're on a scoring drive, just enjoy the times you get to play.

i remember mine i came up and the goalie dove out flat and i just put it around him on the right side if i remember correctly

I didn't score my first goal till peewee and that was after 2 years of travel hockey. When I finally scored I didn't even celebrate cause I was in disbelief, i don't even think they called it as a result haha.
