OTHockey96 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 I have to write a paper on the effects of technology on basically anything I want, but I really need this paper to be high quality. I've already searched some of the online databases at my school and found some good stuff, but still not enough to write an A quality paper on. If any of you guys know of any online sources that have some good information on how technology has effected equipment, or really anything to do with the NHL in general I would forever grateful, because I've only got like a week to write this paper. Thanks guys.

ktang 34 Report post Posted March 25, 2006 You can look for 2 books:"The Physics of Hockey" by Alain Hache"The Stick" by Bruce DowbigginThey both talk a lot about how technology has changed the equipment and, more importantly, the way the game is played.E.g. goalie masks allowed the goalies to get lower without being seriously hurt

I was there for the first hockey game in the building during the 96 World cup. Verizon center in Washington is right around 10 years too I think.
