Staal will be the best player. Kessel is so overatted it's amazing.

Kessel could develop some hockey sense again, but yes he does look overrated. He reminds me of college hockey's Sergei Samsonov. I don't know where that leaves him against NHL competition. Samsonov has more than a forehand toepull in his back of tricks.

I am sure Penguins want Johnson, if not I think they will take Staal if Johnson gets taken as the 1st pick

Johnson is kinda the sure thing, the others Kessel, Teows and Staal have huge potential but I doubt all 3 will become superstars.

Penguins have excellent scouting, they did take Jagr 5th and Naslund in previous drafts when they were not as hyped as other players. Jagr was the forgot guy behind Nolan, Premeau, Ricci and Nevded but he was by the best player from that draft.

Yes, it is a shame. After the 00-01 season is when all the job slashing began. I bet we could of got some young skilled players from guys like Straka, Kovalev, Lang, and Straka. Instead we got Rico Fata, Kris Beech and Ross Lupaschuk.

I've also been reading that Carolina wants to send Jack Johnson over here to Pittsburgh for the #2 pick, they want Staal. Rumor has been floating around that St. Louis wants Johnson and that the Pens will take Staal. If the blues pass on Johnson, the pens will draft him.

Jagr dropped to fifth because there was some concern as to wheteher he would be able to get out of the then communist Czechoslovakia. The Pens rolled the dice and won.

I think Erik Johnson will go #1, also I like the idea of Jack Johnson going to the Pens so the younger Staal would be picked up by the Canes at #2. I talked to my buddy who played fro Drummondville and he said that Brassard is an excellent skater with tons of skill, more than Kessel, and is probably in better shape.
