I did it years ago with the two sided tape. Two reasons - softens the puck when it hits the blade and prevents snow build up. Oh yea Wayne did it too. :)

I use it on my outdoor sticks when the butt-end gets too tacky. I also use chalk from my rock climbing stash.

Wow, I just happened to retape my handle today. After reading this thread I put some baby powder on the handle and I must say it really cuts down the break in time.

Hmm I have a huge bottle of "Shower to Shower" deoderant after-shower body powder stuff. It's kinda like baby power and I just threw it all over the butt-end tape on my stick and into my gloves too. I'll let you guys know how it works.

Before the tape on a handle is broken in, it sticks to your gloves and isn't all mashed down and comfortable. For a demonstration, take any stick that has had the handle taped for a while, then take a stick and re-tape the handle. Compare. Stickhandle with both. You'll notice the difference.

lol i've had it sitting around for so long... i just went and fooled around with a tennis ball on roller blades for a while, and when i went over to hang with a chick for a sec she commented that my hands smelled really good.... lol good way to turn the girls on. other than that, i dunno i felt more comfortable stickhandling with the power in them.
