Best Skill Move

Fair enough.

I've always been of the opinion that getting punched in the face sucks, but that's just me ^_^

i agree with you 100%, but when you see someone making a B-line at you and they already dropped their gloves and helmet, do the same and punch him in the face first

I'd like to do that move that Mark Johnson did during the practise in Miracle where he goes on an end-to-end rush and flies up the right wing and does the backhanded Ovechkin through-the-legs move. That'd be super sweet :D

I saw that one done on a highlight reel goal from Germany. It was actually a really boring goal considering all the fancy stuff he put into it... he split the defence on a backhand through the legs move, but they basically (at least it seemed) let him through. They both could have pounded him and had him coughing up blood on the ice, instead he zoomed between them and faked a shot, deked to the backhand and went top shelf. *YAWN* it's so boring it made me sick to see defence so sucky. It's almost as bad as watching that florball crap.

im a right handed shot and mostly only use these in practice

going down the right i fake far side and stop like jagr and st. louis have done and slip it in the near side OR through the legs

down the center i use the crosby vs canadians shootout move OR datsyuk vs turco move which never works

left side i use the bure kick from skate to stick OR zhamnov one-hander

going down on a D i use the one hander one that the canadian guy in the juniors did(im really good at that one) OR fake left and quick right while flicking it ovr the stick

the only one that works 90% of the time is the first one...other than that theyre all hot-dog moves

I think your first one is the Beanpot.

Well its nothing i'd ever try in a real game because A.) its a good way to get leveled and B.) if you mess up you look like a real jackass but i also love doing the michigan, scoop it up 360 then throw it into the net. Every once in a while i can drop it through my legs then scoop it up and pull it out and do the 360 but that only works like half the time.

In real games i just keep it simple start on my forehand make a simple deke real quick over to my backhand then just bring it back over to my forehand nothing fancy to it but i almost always score.

:D Plan 1: I skate really fast straight in to the net and then "fake fall down"

then while spinning like a board brush on a zamboni hit the puck with my outstretched stick and score......

Hasent worked yet but I seem to practice it more than any human has practiced anything......

Plan 2: In all reality-the old Savard spin-o-rama works really well in our beer leagues-I'm a lefty so if I do a little cut to the right with the puck forehand then left with the puck on my backhand and get the D moving that way then a quick backspin to the right is very effective-gets them 90% of the time

And if that dont work there is always plan 1....................

im really not that fancy and can't pick up the puck, but theres one that ive been workin on recently. i saw when i was playin nhl 06. its where you pull the puck back w/ur toe, then flip it straight up in the air and hit it out of the air. i've practiced it a lot over the past couple weeks and am pretty good at it. its not really that hard or great of a move, but it gets my goalie every time i pull it off. probably bcuz its coming from the air and not the ice, so its harder to predict where it will go in. i havent had a chance in a game yet though.

for me its swing to the left side and keep it away from the d, once i get near the crease, swing to forehand, if the goalies moving laterally, the 5 opens up, if hes not then the whole right side of the net is open

I was practicing it today and it is something I would do in a practice only.

That's a nice variation on that move. But, the only thing I'd accomplish trying that is tripping myself *L*

in roller hockey i sort of do the old jagr move, inside outside and put the arm up and try to get around, or i go inside fake to the outside and pull it between the d's legs, i got a bunch of shootout moves, and in ice hockey im not too good with moves yet, sometimes i get by doing the old jagr move, or usually i just pass it up

Right hand shot, so I come down the left side, and fake the wrister low stick side. Pull it back with the backhand and cut hard across the net, then roof it forehand on the glove side.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.

. Never tried any "moves" (not even in practice) but my mind kind of blanked on a breakaway and I ended up doing it.

Usually I try to lean in like I'm shooting blocker side and pop it above the stick 5-hole as fast as I can get it off. Gets them most of the time in practice but not in games. I'm really not a skill guy.

Yeah I do something similar to that. I'm by no means a great dangler but that is something I'll do if I'm not confident in my shot. Otherwise I'll just do a the leg kick fake to the backhand over the blocker or sometimes I try that Getzlaf move he did in the youngstars game where he fakes to goto the backhand, pulls it back and roofs it glove side.

Gotta love all the people on here that do nhl top highlight goals so easy. People seem to be going through there legs just as easy as a wrister.

I just shoot. I'm a defenseman, so that is my move. I figure it works as well as anything else, and I don't care if it looks fancy if I score.

When just screwing around I like to do the RBK Crosby Commercial move(the spin), in the game I like to use the Crosby move that he did on Jose Theodore and I like to use the Rolston ahah the slapper on the breakaway(only used a few times and has worked).
