Best Skill Move

Recommended Posts

Personal shoot out favorite.

Come in from the right boards and do a backhand toe drag. about halfway through, go back to your forehand and roof it. The toe drag fakes the goalie to the left post and you have the right side of the net open.

Im right handed btw

Pick the puck up with my stick, toss it in the air, catch it on my helmet, roll it down my back, catch it in the tendon guard of my right skate, let it out, kick it up with my left foot, then headbutt the puck into the goal. Works 100% of the time that I've never done it.

I like the spinorama but one of my favorite things to do is take the the puck backhand it to my right skate then kick the puck behind my left skate to my stick and fire a quick wrister once i kick it up to my stick...or the other thing i really like to do which doesnt take much skill is go up the right wing and do the same thing with the puck but once it hits my stick bounce it off the boards so it goes behind the d and i just flash right by the d man

I can do the sykora move to perfection, besides that a forsberg where i put it between the legs of the goalie on purpose.

Besides that I can't/don't do anything fancy since it's useless in games.

Scratching my Balls, oh wait thats baseball :D

Im not too fancy, I just get a head of steam from behind our net and go around the other team. I do have this one move where I am going to the side and I stop and cut back to the other side of the person. In a beer league thats all you need and its breakaway time. Then you do the leg pump shoulder drop to the backhand and roof it.

Stumble over the blueline, fall to my arse, fan on the puck, but it still goes in because the goalie is dying laughing at my effort, so takes his eye of the puck, which stops approximately 2cm inside the goal line

You stole my signature move!

i love not doing that and like you said i have 100% success rate of not doing it

RH coming in on the left side roof it short side top corner ala Joe Sakic (opposite side for him since he's a lefty).

If I'm coming in straight and the goalie comes out, I'll fake a shot and semi shoot the puck right up to the goale and then bring it back and go wide. I'm 3/3 in games with that one.

In my roller hockey days I used to pull the spin-o-rama to the back hand side, get the puck on my blade, and then whip around and lacrosse the puck into the top corner. Most goalies expect the puck low coming out of the spin. However, I can't the puck on my stick on the ice using the same technique.

I have around seven moves in my rotation that I use for breakaway/shootout situations. I'm more of a playmaker so I don't really dangle through players. I mostly use power moves to just get around or get through other people.

As for the breakaways, I like to do stuff that will get goalies out of position before I even shoot.

There is the "changeup", where you go full steam until the goalie comes out to challenge you; Most goalies will come out moving fast to match your speed. Once they start moving backwards quickly, you curl a few times and slow down. That way they will be moving fast backwards giving you more shooting options.

The opposite of that is the "viagra" where you start real slow like nylander would, curling a couple times before you cross the blue line. The goalie will come out slow to challenge, then I go to full speed with lots of easy deking options.

The other goalie fooler is the "omega", where you immediately go to the left (if you shoot right) almost to the boards, then quickly cut back across before the top of the circle, and then when you get to the middle of the ice, you go right to the net. If the goalie doesn't check his angles or tap the post, they will be out of position, and I usually just end up with the jokinen quick shot to the far side.

Aside from those I'll do the sykora backhand which I call "blackface", "snow plow", where you come in straight with full speed then snow plow at the hashmarks and roof it, Then there is always the leg pump shot fake which I usually mix up with blackface.

There is one more I do for fun which is the seizure. You basically skate in, leg pump, shoulder fake, head fake hand fake, fake shot, over and over again all at the same time, and you just choose when you want to shoot.

"What do you call that garbage?"

"It's my eliminator. I've got another pitch. You get a piece of it, I'll let you name it."

[Vaughn pitches and Parkman hits the ball out of the park]

"I'd, uh, call it the masturbator."

puck between the legs, but i haven't used it in a game, just shinny and pickup. as for breakaway 90% of the time some sort of shot top-shelf, right under the crossbar. either that or fake shot far side, pull it back a la datsyuk and jam it in short side.

Wobble my blade a little bit, look at his high blocker, then snap it 5-hole. Every time. The one shot that I can nail with accuracy. Usually only works about 3 times on a good goalie though, then I have to try the basic forehand to backhand roofie.

ice im a big slowish defencemen so I dont get to skate into the slot much mainly through covering for my other d man( fairly new and very rookie team) but I do like to go in puck carrying on my right then last minute make a blatent step to me left hope the goalie follows then middle shelf on the right.

rollers iv pulled off once or twice in training and once in a game. got my blade under the puck flicked into the air then on the way down made contact with it hit straight to the net! wham - ace goal! but often goalies like to hurt you after doing them kinda tricks

my moves are realy good i have good hands and i move the puck quicky, i am a lefty, what i like to do is stickhandle fast when close to guy i do a couple on the right then go left when he tries to poke it i just go btw his stick or legs either from forehand, backend or one hand, or i drag the puck on the forehand fake to go left if he tries to poke check i quickly chip the puck from backhand to the left over his stick never saw anyone do this.

I play in a terrible league, and once in a while i get a chance to set up behind the opposing teams net. if the opposing team is letting me hang out back there, i flip the puck over the back of the net to a teammate out front. Has worked once in a game out of the 3 times ive tried it. The fans love it ^_^

I'm a big fan of the 200-foot flip pass from behind my own net to a breaking forward on the PK - call it the Hextall for oldies, the Roloson for recent times.

Only problem comes when I hit the scoreclock and A) get a penalty for delay of game, or B) piss off the arena guys.
