LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 His rookie year he'll probably do the most damage returning kicks. I don't know many teams who would put a $30M rookie in a position to get injured by letting him return kicks. Well, they're going to have to do something with him. Otherwise all he's going to do is be a third and long back or line up in the slot sometimes. He'll split time with Davis and probably will see a lot of plays lined up in the slot. DD can catch too, so it will create some mismatches if they're on the field at the same time.

LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 I didn't realize he returned kicks... I thought it was just punts. And his contract was a little less than $30M.
mack 44 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 He did both and wasn't good at either. Fast but couldn't handle the ball at all.
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 From what I saw, it wasn't good in coverage either. And a bit of a punk if you ask me.
mack 44 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 He is a punk for sure and I really wish they'd gone for Rolle instead. He improved his coverage but he's still like 5'6".

akhockey 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Looks like the Texans are gonna pass on Bush and go with Williams. Now I wonder what the Saints will do...take Bush or trade it away.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2426003
mik3 1 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Smart move, Bush isn't worth the 30+ mil guaranteed he wanted. He probably goes 3rd now
akhockey 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 I think this changes the whole draft now. I will be really interesting to see where Bush goes and where the 3 QB's go too. Hopefully, the Lions don't screw it up again like they have the past few years.
mik3 1 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 The Jets are trying to trade into the 2 and get Bush, but NO wants both the Jets' first rounders and #
mack 44 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Only way Bush goes 3rd is if Tennessee trades down, which they should. They already have a RB with an NCAA body.
Guest Muck Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Great find, AK. For all of you NFL fans, here's a great site to get great info:www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htmI see things on there before they are released most of the time. Sometimes as soon as 3 days before the media releases particular news. I hadn't seen this news, though. As Dodge says, "This changes everything."

I hope they do...but wouldn't be surprised at all if they take a player at a position that they don't need.

ThePurpleCobra 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 Does that mean they'll still have the number one pick if they already have williams or do they still need to draft him?
