Steve Nash

Recommended Posts

There are rumours around that he is getting it for the second year in a row, do you agree, or disagree. Personally I think other people could get it, like Kobe Bryant (82 point game, and just alot of 40 point games). But on second thought, Steve Nash's Suns, did just fine w/o Stoudamaire(sp?). If he does get it, It definitly wont bother me.

Well I don't watch Goonball, but they did show on sportsnet the stats and what would happen if you took the respective players off of their teams...

Just saying

I think he diserves it. Kobe isn't a team player. He takes 99% of his teams shots and gets about 4 assists a game. Nash does everything. He scores, plays D, Passes. He was great even without there 2nd best player.

Nash improved on his MVP stats while everyone else in the running has a major flaw. I could see Lebron winning if they are ready to give it to him yet, otherwise Nash wins through process of elimination.

The Lakers win 15 games without Kobe.

The Mavs win 30 without Dirk.

The Cavs MAYBE make the playoffs since the east is so bad without Lebron.

The Suns win 45 without Nash and make the playoffs. He's not even the most valuable player on his own team.

With no Nash they still win 45? Are you drunk? They had that lineup before he got there, and how did they make out then?? The thing that makes him deserve it is nobody on the Lakers is better because of Kobe, but everyone on the Suns is better because of Nash. Kobe can get 40 every night, and the other 11 split 45? That isnt how it should be.

That being said I do honestly think you could make a serious arguement for any of Kobe, Dirk, Lebron and Elton Brand.

How fitting is it that last night Kobe dunked on Nash right at the end though? They both had 29, but Nash has 29 10 and 9 whereas Kobe has 29 5 4. There a lot of guys with nice game, but no one makes their team better.

ANY pass first PG would put up Nash's numbers with Phoenix. If they got to play with the players he does they'd put up numbers all year too.

Kobe TRIES to make his players better, but what should he do? Should he pass to Brian Cook 10x a game while he's wide open and just watch him miss open shots while they lose by 30, or should he take the game over and have them win.

Personally I think kobe is an arrogant ass hole and just because he scores 80+ points in a game doesnt make him mvp its only one game he does nothing to help his team only to help himself I dont like basketball much and i really dont care who gets mvp but i really dont think kobe should get it.

I cant say I agree with that cause without Kobe there hogging the ball it would give other players a chance to step up and put points on the board there is no way to tell how good or bad of a team they would have without him.

I agree with David. We don't know how good Kobe's team is because he takes 30 shots a game. And that is a bad game. His shooting percentage is horrible. Nash is way more valuable than kobe.

I'll take Lebron for the simple fact that he's the only one of those guys that would make me even consider watching a basketball game. In terms of MVP of league, thats my vote.

Kobe WOULD have ten assists a game if his team didn't suck. Smush Parker is their starting pg, he played 20some games in the league the last two years. Chris Mihm, Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, and Devean George see regular time for the Lakers.

Kobe actually passes a LOT, but nobody on his team can make open shots.

Like I said earlier, is he supposed to just be pass-first all game and lose by 30 to the hawks, or take games over?
