Pics of my custom mouthguard from my dentist

Recommended Posts

I went last week to get my mouth molded and it was ready today, he said I could pick any color I wanted and I asked if he could do three colors, and he said sure so I got Red, White, and Blue :D.

It doesn't fit like your 2$ one that you boiled and fitted yourself. These offer 3 layer protection and the custom fit is absolutely amazing and is nothing that you can get by boiling one yourself.

Custom mouth guards are like Bugatti Veyerons of cars. They cost alot, and they are better than everything else by a mile. When I used to have mine I could chew gum with it.....until the gum got stuck, but you get the idea.

Tell us how it affects your game performance whenever you play. I'm wondering about going to the dentist to myself get a custom fit one.

Its almost like its not there, you can defintely breath better. Its that good. Anyone that has dental insurance should be out getting one on their lunch break.

the big difference, is that the mouthguard "LOCKS" in place, and will not come loose unless you forceably pry it off with your fingers.

plus each tooth is custom molded, so there are no gaps of air...

which help hold it in place, and theoretically does a better job of evenly spreading out any impacts

i think you can get a less bulky model as well. As mine (proform) is definitly less bulky than the one in the picture.

Yep it comes with a case. It really varies from dentist to dentist it can range from hours to days or weeks. In my case as well as my other teammates it took 1 week.

Cleaning wise your dentist will tell u to keep them ventilated and to use a mouthwash or brush them to prolnog their life.

this sounds like a great option. i have some questions though. i have always hated mouthguards because they were too long and would bother my gag reflex thus when the mouthguard would be in place i would be skating and out of nowhere i would almost throwup. also breathing wise, i cant play breathing through my nose i need to use my mouth, do these custom ones help with both my problems?
