I only find the toecap painful, the midfoot and heel can fit into pretty narrow skates. If I'm a 7.0D in vector, what size am I in salming?

So your toes are wider than any other part of your foot? I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

In answer to your earlier question, the toe caps in the Easton Synergy EE width skate is not as wide as a CCM E width skate. Easton skates are slightly narrower in the toe area which works for some people but not for others. Again if you want tons of room in the toe area go with a Nike Flexlite 12 or 10. Widest by far on the market and a comfortable skate with a right out of the box fit. ;)

This is true, the 1300 has a slightly shorter and wider toe but unfortunately it is an expensive highter end skate. I can't honestly say the 1500 or 1200 have the same type of toe cap but I presume they probably do. I still believe a person who has very wide toes would be more comfortable in a pair of CCM "E" width or a pair of Nike Flexlite 10's or 12's. My reasoning is the CCM is a wider overall skate both in the mid foot and toe area. The Nikes also widen out as you go from the heel to the massive toe cap area. I have worn Nike V-10 skate and was amazed how much room I had to move my toes inside the skate however the boot itself had a very snug but comfortable fit to it. In short the toe area is a bit sloppy but the skate still performed well because of the way the boot wraps comfortably around your mid foot and ankle area. It may take you a little time to adjust to the higher cut boot on the Nike but when you do you'll find they perform admirably.

I also have wide toes...Flexlites and Wide width Synergies have great toe boxes so check those out. one90s have decent sized caps also.
