You can trust the performance also because a lot of the different brands are made in the same factories. And I'm happy if you like the look.

If they offered you a blade in standard or tapered along with a taper shaft, why don't they just offer Custom standard and tapered blades.

Should be a huge succes based on the market for it?

Any updates Tyco, did you played with it yet?

Also if you compare your old Forsberg curve and you Custom Mia, are they exactly the same curve or did they did something just a bit different?

hmmm....i'm not sure i understand what the question is....

to be clear though, i was given the choice between having a standard shaft with a standard hosel blade, or a tapered shaft with a short hosel blade. With either of these options, you end up with a 2-piece system. At your request, they can permeanently fuse them and get a OPS.

I hesistate to put up any pre-mature review of the equipment as i have only played once with it and this certainly won't be enough to adequately assess the stick...

but I can say that the mold was excellent....the MIA curve is exactly like my old woody/abs forsberg shape wise....even the blade thickness seems pretty darn close, as the MIA comp. blade is extremely thin. i don't think their retail curves (they have drury, sakic, modano clones) are usually that thin.

Something to note though, much to my surprise and dismay, the process of making a mold is a destructive one, and so my sample blade was destroyed. However, again i must say that dealing with MIA to date has been very pleasant and they have gone out of their way to replace my stick despite availability problems (finding a '97-98 Titan ASD 7000 Forsberg RH is not that easy, but on ebay we found some).

thats good service when they replace the stick that they ruined making the mold for you. that just shows they really care about what the customer thinks.

He is asking if you can buy replacement blades separately (w/o the shaft). It doesn't make much sense for us non-ops guys to have to buy a shaft with every blade.

oh i see...

yes you can buy just replacement blades (again, based on my personal experience, not sure if this is company policy). As mentioned previously, your custom mold is of the blade only, and you can do what you want with it. I chose to match it with their shafts and try their OPS, but i can also only buy the blades and use 3rd party stuff.

Ok I have some questions.

How's the review on the stick.

Like, how is the feel and the durability?

How many times have you played with the blade before it broke(if you have broken one or more)

thanks for your time Tyco.

uuummm... i don't know if i should answer.if you can't take the time to read the topics, i shouldn't have the time to answer you. but since your new, i will give you a chance.

minimum seem to be 4(for blade) and 3 for OPS.

Sorry, didn't have time to read all five pages. But how many did you have to order total? Also, what was the final price?

This was on the very first page.

The standard pricing scheme is $350CDN for the tooling of the mold, and you need to order 4 sticks minimum at their retail price of $229 each. However, it is my understanding that this company deals a lot more with the pro's and that they're trying to break thru in the retail market....that being the case, i can say that if you talk with the people of MIA, they can prolly give you better deals (at least that's what happened with me).

Take the time or don't bother posting. Don't waste our time because you feel like being lazy.
