Yes you can. My friend has feet that are not the same size so he has to get custom skates. He got mission to do it for him. He said it took about a $275 skate to a $400 skate.

What you should ask yourslf is "is it necessary"?

I dont see why it would be any less necessary for roller than ice?

people may have different sized feet / not be happy with the skates out, and fancy custom skates, we all play the game because we love it, and its a lot more fun when you have skates that fit your feet properly and dont hurt like hell.

That was good timing, Chadd.

We don't do custom sizing....Not sure who your friend is, but he may be BSing you....

What custom options do you offer justin?

since they dont offer custom inlines, u may just have to make a custom ice boot and convert it to an inline skate.

and also, if u talk to the right person in certain companies, they may beable to hook u up if the price is right.

To be honest I was more curious than anything, its just all the inlines ive bought, never last me longer than about 4 to 6 months if that.

I dry my skates out well after every skate, and take good care of them but they still breakdown.

Starts with eyelets coming out, Which is common so i can deal with.

Then ends in the boot losing support/stiffness and bending.

Then I end up having problems with the sole coming apart from the boot.

My last 4 skates have been mission, RL's when i first started, then D1's, RMX's, and now some converted S500's, All had the same problems.... Except the S500's havent lost their stiffness yet as ive only had them about 2 months. but the sole is seperating at the toe.

The things id be interested in custom would be stiffer, and maybe a different sole (if thats possible). Anything to try to reduce this.

And then fit wise, get the inside above the arch punched out, Im gettin bone spurs from that area.

I would definitely recommend giving our 06' or the new 07 line. I am sure there are players who are wearing the skates for more than 6-10 months by now. I am sure you find that they are holding up and still in good shape...

I can tell you this much, our NEW roller skates are built stronger than any Ice or Roller skate we have ever made.

Thats good to hear, Mission has always been a high performing skate, but for me the durability just has never been enough.

Maybe I'm just hard on skates, im a hard skater and stopper etc.

Being as im from England, When skates come out over here they come out really late, Site are still selling the He950's for £280, which is $513 USD!!! and theyre 2 years old. and the 9500's for $550 USD, but theyre only pre-order so they still have to be ordered from america to the shop.

No shops i know have anything above a 5500 from this years line in stock.

So as you can see its virtually impossible to get good high end skates that are affordable in england! so i hate having to get a good pair and then them break down after 6 months.

Sorry for my rant, i bet you hear this a lot from us brittish players!

What do you need custom? I am curious as to why you need something custom? Let me know...

I think sizing would be the main issue.

If that is the case, would the new Wicked Lites be able to be converted for competitive ice play? Or am I just mis-understanding good durability as good protection?

Hehe... yeah it could probably be done. I recently converted my old pair of BlueMax's to ice skates. Just sorta did it on a whim, didn't really have a use for the boots after I sold the Hum'ers off of them. I used the Prolite holder from a pair of CCM 652s that I converted into inlines. Vice versa I guess you could say...

In terms of durability though, well that's the reason why I switched back to CCM. The Tours didn't last me long at all in terms of stiffness, and I was never really happy with the height of the boot on the ankle. I went back to my old CCM Tacks from like 8 years ago and used those until they too were getting to the point of no return. That's when I caved and got the 652s to hopefully last me another several years.

Ash_96: order from www.hockeyoffice.com (aka www.hockeyzentrale.de)

It' the best online store in Europe (IMO). you can get all your equipment needs there, cheaper than from the states. Since you don't have to pay as much for shipping, and avoid the 25% income toll taxes..... viva the Schengen agreement, which allows for free trade in europe.

The only problem is you have to send the money by Iban, either from your netbank account or your local bank. It's a little of a hazzle, but worth it.

They have both 7500 & 9500's + alot of other brands.

Initially the prices might seem higher than in the states, but shipping is like 12euro and no taxes.
