Favorite Obscure Songs

Going through my CD collection and a few come to mind for me.

"Los Angeles" Frank Black

"Who was in my room last night" Butthole Surfers - sorry for the name but is real.

Not too rare but "Colors" Ice T

Just mindless banter.

Every summer we have a barbeque and The Big D will be in the kitchen until midnight preparing the food, while I'm at my computer. When I finally emerge, she'll ask me quite testily, "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!?"

Me: "I've been working on a CD."

Her: :angry::angry::angry:

Truthfully, however, if there is one skill I have in this world, it's being able to know what songs will have universal appeal. When I DJ'ed at weddings, I'd often have people come up to ask what song was playing. Or perhaps the best compliment for my mixed CD's came from the wife of one of D's co-workers, who said she didn't care whether she had any food, she just wanted to sit and listen to the music.

I'll go through the mixed CD's I've made in the past few years and try to keep it to relatively obscure songs, even if some of the bands might not be obscure. In some cases, the songs are obscure due to the passage of time; in other cases, I think they're obscure because only certain radio stations will play them; finally, some are obscure because NO over-the-air radio stations will play them. Since the list could get long, I'll break up the posts.
