New One90 sizing issues.

Recommended Posts

Can't figure out how to get a skate that fits correctly. Went from a Vapor XX 8 1/2 EE....which fit perfectly.....to a Vapor XXX 9 EE hen the XX's fell apart because I could not get my foot into a Vapor XXX in the same 8 1/2 EE. XXX's ended up being too big after they broke in.

So, was able to get a pair of One90's in 8 1/2 EE and they STILL seem too big. Is there no consistency in sizing from model to model? Either from XX's to XXX's or XXX's to One90's?

The One90's are "suppose" to be wider than the Vapor line. You might have been able to get away with a standard D width for the Supreme line

Why did you buy them if they didn't fit?

Tried an 8 1/2 D at my LHS and it was too narrow. Ordered the 8 1/2 EE online and it seems not only wider, which is fine, but longer and thus too big. Also, currently in a XXX 9 EE and it is a bit too big so figured I needed an 8 1/2 in the One90.

If you have a digital camera take a picture of the fooot beds from your old skates and i can go through where you might want to change things. Also what style of foot do you have low arch high arch ? What size shoes do you wear and what kind?

Well when moving up to a EE width, they put a larger toe cap on the skate...meaning it would be slightly longer (guessing that's the problem). For example, if you wear a 9 Vapor XXX and it fits perfect, NBH reccomends an 8.5 one90. Maybe you should try an 8 EE...or a completely new skate. The one90 just may not fit right for you.

First of all, knucklehead, my LHS, who I have spent a ton of money with over the years, did not have and could not get the One90's in a EE until November. I did purchase my last 3 pairs from my LHS including the XXX's that are too big. I am one of their best customers and buy most of my equipment and sticks there.

The issue here is that there seems to be no consistency in sizing across different models of the same brand of skates.....even in the same model being upgraded...like Vapor XX to XXX. Example 8 1/2 EE in XX fits PERFECT. In XXX...too small and 9 is too big.

Thanks. Wear a 10 to 10 1/2 shoe and or sneaker. Regular arch I think maybe a tad high.

Well that doesnt sound right as the XXX is a half size bigger fitting than the XX (because of the outsole) so the 8 1/2 should fit in a EE unless you do have a higher arch and in that case your big toe is sliding forward and you would be getting a pinch or pain on your baby toe. I would therefore go with a superfeet in the skate bringing your toe of the front and supporting your arch as well as straightening your foot in the skate you should then get into the 8 1/2 EE in the XXX and should be no bigger than an 8 EE in the ONE90.

Example: I have a 9 shoe wide foot high arch.

XX 7 EE

Vector 6E

ONE90 6 EE

XXX 6.5 EE

All with superfeet or I have to go a hlaf size bigger in all

My custom Graf 735's are a 6.5 and a 6.75 padded toe cap with Superfeet (and my superfeet are 7 years old)

They never wear out.

Thanks. I have a pair of 8 EE One90's on the way and a pair of Superfeet as well. I'll hopefully keep one pair of the One90's. In my "too big" XXX's ....9 EE....I am using the shock doc footbeds but they are not taking up quite enough room.

They are not made to take up room they are made to support the foot all the way around. You should never have an insole that takes up more room tha the original as they places the ankle in a spot not that it is not intended to be!

Any other questions about fittin ask any time. If those ONE90's with the superfeet dont feel right while wearing them at home with out baking after say 20 mins or so....meaning they feel still to big return them for a smaller pair. They really do fit much larger than any other skate out there!

just got my custom ONE90's a couple of days ago. size 8" 1/4 DA coming from 8"1/2 Vapor XX's and they felt great during my 1st practice. the boot fit nicely all areas of foot and ankle made contact on the inside comfortably.stock footbed is actually pretty nice (had shock doctors in my old pair) no pain, no lace bite, no blisters! I have the white LS2 holder and perf steel. only problem was getting use to new steel. I'll get the steel balanced slighty 2 day. photo below

Tried a pair of One90's in an 8 D at my LHS last night and they were not wide enough. Weird.

Thanks.

well what you should of been told and known is that the one90 is a skate that really has to be oven heated, its not a boot you put on and go wow this feels amazing. Its a skate that will pinch all around the foot at first so I would of reccomended is go with the tighter fitting boot since it will get bigger and wider when worn and heated, and also the boot can always be made wider but never narrower

the boot is extremely stiff. much stiffer than the vapor lines. so after baking (and cooling) if the boot doesnt feel right chances are it never will. I'm lucky and don't have an abnormal foot shape.

i tried them on today and 6.5D seems to fit exact, my toes are right up to the toe cap. Are you saying I should get 6.5s or 7s because 7's my toes have a little more room?

the toe box is bigger then that of the xxx's so it could be that your not used to the toe cap.
