Man. You guys were right, most people are having problems with their Apple products. Most people are unsatisfied with their apple computers. Most people to do feel they are being overcharged. I cant even count on my two hands how many companies are in front of apple in customer satisfation according to this survey. Damn, I going to go buy an NEC.

Can't even trust Alienware now, as they got purchased by Dell.

Oh well, at least Falcon and Voodoo are still there. Voodoo should be good for you Vapor (as I get the impression by your clothing that you're financially well off, no offense if you're not so much, but I doubt that that's the case). The top end computer they sell is about $7,000 base I believe.

Vista Beta2 was released as a public beta. The release of Vista has been pushed back three times, and most of the exciting features have been removed. The WinFS (windows filesystem) has been removed, and they claim they are not even going to be releasing it in a later update. This means they will still be using the dinsuar age NTFS system. WinFS was suppose to be a revolutonary database style filesystem which would allow cool features such as instant search (otherwise known as spotlight in OS X). Monad was also yanked, its a command line interface and a scripting language. Its similar to unix shell. They also yanked support for EFI. EFI was created jointly by Intel and MS. It was suppose to replace to 20+ year old BIOS (basic input output system). PC to PC Sync and XPS support have also been removed.

XP also has an aqua rip off interface called Aero Glass, but most people wont be able to run it because the specs you have to have are pretty insane. And most people wont use it because it will take up so much ram it just wont be worth it.

I work (web design) for one of the larger PC manufacturers. I've used Vista a few times on some test notebooks in the office. It's terribly slow. They're talking of upgrading us all when it's released and I'm fearful of spending most of my time battling the OS instead of working.

Aero glass looks like ass too. All-in-all, the only benefit I've seen that Vista has over any previous version of Windows is file search. It behaves similarly to OS X's.

I've had my Powerbook for a year and a half now and besides the smallish hard drive, it performs great. I've had no problems with it so I have no reason to bitch about it. It does what I need and I like it. PCs did what I needed too, I just like Apples because they're prettier.
