Sprung Hockey

Recommended Posts

Switched my Sprungs back to my 652 Tacks for the winter league that starts next week. The 655's will be backups.

Sick skates Baz. I've always wanted to convert a pair of One90 with sprungs, but the one90's don't fit me very well.

EDIT: Ya, the pictures are a little too big. You might want to host them on www.imageshack.us and post the link instead.

The mount looks nice and centered. I do notice you have 72mm wheels on there. They were designed to be used with 76mm wheels so you probably won't get the best performance with them until you switch those wheels out for some 76mm wheels.

ye keith told me that, the shop didnt have the 76mm wheels so i went and got the closest, but am happy with them as they are, ill change them when i play more roller hockey, im right into my ice just now, and play roller once a week only.

Baz, try some 76mm wheels on the back 2 and leave the 72mm on the front. You'll see a very nice increase in speed and a very agressive "pitch" as well.

These are designed for a flat setup, regardless of the wheel size. Sticking 72's up front puts a lot of extra strain on the first and third rocker arms and wheels. If they break on you with a "hi-lo" setup, be prepared to buy your replacement parts.

So Baz, get some 76's and your one day a week will be even better hockey.

Keith,

Thanks the other day for the help with my new chassis. Looking forward to getting it and the T-nuts in the coming weeks. I'll be sure to post pics and a review on the chassis in time. Thanks again!!

Get the large A8, for sure. My Vapors are size 10, which is (I think) about the same as Easton and RBK/CCM 9.5's, and they're the best thing I ever skated on.

keith,

I've read over the mounting instructions on the website and have gone over all the posts, indicating that t-nut are the best way to mount. I'm mounting them on grafs, and the cobra blade that i took off were held on by nuts, are those t-nuts? and will i just be able to re-use those when i mount the sprungs?, and can i just line op the holes that i drill in the frame with already threaded holes on the boot? Just want to make sure i have everything set to go when they arrive. Thanks

We are going to start selling complete custom setups on the site, including boots, wheels, bearings and spacers. The frames will be rivet mounted.

We'll match current online prices for the boots and parts. Some close-outs will be tough, because of low availability. Your ice holders or inline frames/wheels will be sent along with the setup, if you wish. If this works out OK, we'll continue doing it. If it sucks we'll stop.

In a perfectly sprung world, boots would be available from the companies without frames.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

hey keith i really think its time that you got that website updated and make it clear what is what...it is clear as mud right now for me, think about how a 10 year old's parent feels. ;0

i think if you get the web site up to date and make each product clear then you will get less emails and silly posts on this that you have to answer, the very very good customer support/service that you give obviously makes up for the lack of info on the website.

The new site is slowly forming up. It will be a little info/sales along with very specific picture/price, buy it, and ship it, of each item. All on the front page.

Anybody out there who is really good at this stuff and is interested in taking it on, please emails us at shawn@sprung-inline.com

:) :) :)

The frames are here! This production run is all white, so we will be factory dying black and maybe another couple of colors, to be decided upon. The colors will be $10 extra for the medium or large, except for you early birds who've already paid.

We'll start shipping today in the order of purchase. Thanks for your patience and I hope you'll find them well worth the wait.

Hey Keith, I bought a pair of medium frames (white July 2007 model). They're already mounted. Just for the record... would I have to get new holes drilled if I wanted to swap them with the latest model?
