mack 44 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Exorcist, Audition or Alien. Anyone that says Hostel, The Ring, Grudge, etc. gets "fag" for a title.
willc7786 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Yeah, I've heard that the ring and the grudge and a bunch of others were remakes of japanese films, but that the japanese versions were ridiculously scarier. There looks like there'll be a couple good ones coming out soon. pantherfan 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 anyone who says Saw scares ridiculously easy awesome movie though I wouldn't say Saw is scary but it's more of a "What would you do?" movie, which for me made it really good, the last film that kinda freaked me out was Texas Chain saw when i was about
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Exorcist, Audition or Alien. Anyone that says Hostel, The Ring, Grudge, etc. gets "fag" for a title. O yea The Excorcist was a good one. I actually was FORCED to watch it by my grandpa when I was 10 years old, outside on his deck in the cold at like 10 at night so it was dark! Made it a little more scary  Did you ever see the new one? Excorcism of Emily Rose
willc7786 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Yeah, I saw Excorcism of Emily Rose. It wasn't very very scary, but definitely freaky/chilling. It was good by todays standards.Anyone see that movie that came out on 6/6/06? I forget what it was called. My gf said she saw the original and was one of the scariest movies she's seen. willc7786 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Saw definitely wasn't scary, neither was Saw 2...but seriously, wtf would you do if that was you in that situation. Thats what makes it a good movie. I also have to give props to it having a really good ending in both movies.

BK 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Its weird.. Horror went from being one thing to another over the past 20 years.Horror used to use music, horrific bad guys and the fear of something popping out at you to scare you.Now its more "Im scared because I dont want to see the bad guy stick a pitchfork in the other guys eyeball then cut off his fingers piece by piece".Whatever happened to the good old slasher movies? hockeysew 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 I saw the first "Halloween" when it first came out at the drive in-I was like 15 and it didnt so much scare me as it freaked me out as you could really see something similar to that happen for real. The first "Phantasm" was cool to take the chicks to to make them "hold" on tight :D Alien = awesome!!There was a movie that came out in 77 or so called "Prophecy" that gave me the heebie jeebies for a while-It was about a logging operation in upstate New York that contaminated the water with Mercury and caused a bear to " Morph" and go beserk. At the time I was working for the Forest Service and after I saw the movie for a couple weeks after if I heard something in the woods it would send a shiver down my backAgain not scarey per se but shit you could see happening. All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 How was the movie about the Live Video Game. Its pretty recent. I think they got killed if they died in the game ?? Doesnt sound scary at all, but something Id watch.
willc7786 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 ^Yeah I remember that one but blanking on the name too. Horror flicks have definitely changed, and for the worse. It used to be straight up scare the **** out of you with things coming out of nowhere, the best music ever made in horror films, and things that stuck with you after you watched a movie. Now, mostly because "wow we can do so much stuff with prosthetics (sp?) and special effects, lets just make stuff that will gross them out", thats what they do. The one credit I give to the horror films now is that they are much more realistic to look at...most of the stuff in the old films just looked so fake it was ridiculous.Anyone hear anything good about that new one coming out soon, The Descent? Hockeyman9621 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 I found the Exocist to be a dissapointment. I saw it for the first time last year, and everyone said it was scary and I'd crap my pants when I watched it. I hate when people that to me, "it will be the funniest movie you'll ever see" I expect too much and I always get disapointed.

People always say that movie isn't really scary but yikes she scares me.Alright, I watched the first Ring, and it was not scary at all I just watched it because it made you think alot about whats going on. I wanted to watch the second Ring and just couldnt! it was horrible! I kept having to puase it and come back because it was just so bad that I couldnt sit there so long. Big upset for me.A good movie was that Amityville Horror
willc7786 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Think the movie is scary, try living two towns away from Amityville lol The house isn't that freaky anymore, they got rid of the really spooky weird attic windows. And yes I was one of the thousands of local early-teens that would sneak around there with my friends for something freaky to happen

CardinalHcky19 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 don't think it was scary but... the unrated version of the hills have eyes was nasty :o Yeah, I agree but I really liked that movie. I think the more scary movies were all about like 15-20 years ago, like the Halloween's and the Nightmare On Elm Street's
