Most amount of injuries to one place

Recommended Posts

So I'm finally back from vacation, and what do you know. I have hockey tonight. So during roller, I'm skating down, I put a nice move on a defender, and skate in, some kid comes from no where, and hits me (this is a no-check league too). I feel my knee pop, and down I go...to cut the story short. 3rd knee dislocation in 2 years...

But down to the point, what's the most amount of serious injuries you've had to one spot? I'll start off. 3 right knee dislocations, 1 left. <_<

My knees most definitely - got kicked by horses about half a dozen times on one knee and probably twice that on the other one - chipped away at the edges of the kneecap. They pop out of place from time to time, how that hurts! But I've gotten pretty good at sliding them back around and then I'm good to go.

I've broken my jaw 4 times, luckily they were just hairline fractures and surprisingly my jaw isn't big like Jay Leno or anything. Something is wrong with my wrist, it has not healed (probably because I never rest it) since I hurt it a year ago. And or course I have 2 bad knees, but I man it up and am playing college this fall.

Broke my left wrist twice in the same exact spot. First time was summer 04 and I needed surgery for it. Then a couple of months ago a big tall, fat kid who couldnt skate in spring house league ran into me . Luckily it wasnt as bad as the first time and I didnt need surgery.

Don't know if this is serious but I sprained my thumb a couple times. Just hit it as hard as you possibly can and 90 percent of the time it feels better. Helped mine by playing catch with a baseball and throwing it extremeky hard.

Concussions. At least 6 known plus one that kept me out of everything for about 6 months.

Oh THAT explains it - when do you expect a full recovery? LOL

Probably never because I'm about to take a nice pre-bedtime crap and I'm sure I'll lose more IQ points then.

This may not count as serious, but when I was just starting out I fell repeatedly, hard, on my left hip. The resulting bruise went all the way around my leg at its worst, yet I kept playing at reduced speed, hoping not to fall on it again

I dislocated my left shoulder from 99-01 a total of 16 times before I got surgery. My right came out three times in less than four months before I had surgery on that one, and twice in three weeks during our season after surgery. I just dislocated my right one again on saturday trying to take off my T-shirt. case in point.........22 shoulder dislocation.....Call Guinness!!

Besides the many stitches I have received during and after games I have had 3 minor concussions and one severe one that included a subdural hematoma (blood pooling near the brain). That final one sucked and kept me off the ice for many months and one neurologist recommended that I consider not playing hockey anymore. I got a new neurologist and solved the problem. I tore my ACL and medial meniscus playing another sport and completely broke my humerus (upper arm bone) in half snowboarding. Considering how much time I have spent on the ice in my life after 27+ years of hockey I'd say that it isn't that bad.

4 concussions

thats serious, retire...

NEVER! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! On a serious note, I'm only 16. I'll retire when im brain dead no nothing but what a puck is.

you'l change your mind about that as you grow, theres allot to live for, just be carefull, hopefully soon, if you don't play competitive anymore, the hitting will stop and your head will be safe
