easton bio-dry hockey jersey

Recommended Posts

i searched for quite a while looking for a topic about these, but no luck.

when i was in montana last month i went to playt it again sports and picked up a black and a whit easton bio-dry jersey. my 1st instinct was wow, these are cool, and a decent price 19.99 with no tax.

i havent gotten the chance to wear one of these at a practice, so i was wondering what you all thoguht of these jerseys. they also seem to run larger then other brands, wich i like.

so how are these jerseys?

also, we sometime practice for highschool in an EXTREMELY cold ice rink. will these jerseys keep me warm?

I don't how cold your rink is but if it's that cold, then no jersey will keep you warm.

Might want to wear thermals but then you get to be covered in tight, sweaty cloth that will utimately feel cold.

Best bet is to keep moving.

Those January thursday morning practices at 6 o'clock are pretty damn cold. I've worn a hoodie under my gear. Your breath freezes to your mask.

If you're getting cold during practice, someone isn't running the practice right.

Or you don't know what the heck you're talking about. The best athletes weren't developed from running or skating them into the ground.

I don't know where you live, but around here ice is pretty damn expensive. I'm not talking about skating anybody into the ground - just that if people aren't kept active for most of practice, then the practice is probably not being run efficiently. A lot of inefficiency on the ice could be averted by doing more things in the class room or gym.

the outdoor rink, is basically a steel box with an ice rink inside. you can get little peices of ice on your cagte easily. the place is basically an ice box.

so yes it is very easy to get cold!!

Try under armour heat gear....it might be the same concept as the easton bio-dry....but its reccomended for skiers and stuff but it keeps the heat in, and takes the sweat out so when you do cool down the sweat doesn't freeze on your body

Don't get Heat gear, go with the Cold gear.

Like Mack said, go with Cold gear if the rink is cold. It's made to keep you warm and dry.

Wear Heat gear when its warm, its made to keep you cool and dry.

i'm almost thinking i made the mistake of buying heat gear because eveery time i skate corners my stomach freezes and the rink isn't even cold

Beer = insulation.

i realize that, but if i showed up for a high school practice drinking a beer, i think that wouldnt go very well...

That's why you drink BEFORE you get to the rink. Like in the car.

Hmm... I don't think any practice jersey will keep you warm, as they're made to be light. However, I know how it feels to play in a cold, outdoor rink, and as far as I'm concerned, nothing will keep you that warm other than skating a lot. I don't think any jersey will help you keep warm, so you're just going to gut it out.

And as for the beer thing: it'd take awhile to get a beer belly going. It's not an immediate answer for your problem.

I use bio dri's for stick times and practices sometimes...AWESOME jerseys...very lightweight and comfortable and they fit well. Like you said they are priced well and they come in some cool colors.

Obviously if you're going about it the smart way you'll want to drink before you even get in the car.

Old thread bump...

Ok...finally got a link to somewhere that has them in stock. But you say they fit a little big, anyone have exact measurements as I'm between a M or L in general, and not sure which to go for these.

I'm in the market for a new practice jersey (color=yellow. don't ask.) and the only color I've found the Bio-Dri in is black/white. But, the IW site says five colors (however their running out, as always...). I checked the Easton site, and it had no detail with the color. Do you know where I could get a yellow Bio-Dri jersey?

Alternatively, I looked on www.hockeyjerseysdirect.com for some decent yellow practice jerseys, and they all look the same. As my second choice, which one of those would be best?
