Powertek

I see some Powertek sticks, shafts, and blades at my LHS. The guys there say the stuff is crap. They've tried them out and they have broken the blades first time out.

Last year my son tried a Maxx M Series blade at the suggestion of another LHS. He liked it so much we went back for more, and he's still using them. He's a rugged 2nd yr bantam and is hard on equipment.

So...the PT blades have the same designation as the Maxx's: M Series, S Series, etc. Both seem to be made in Quebec. Can someone tell me who in fact makes this stuff, are they made by the same company? Seems Groupe Hockey may be involved. Has anyone else tried the stuff?

I sold a ton of the '05 series blue junior sticks. They all held up pretty well to everything except excessive slashing. The blades on the senior sticks were a bit too thin and not stiff enough for my taste. They went through at least one change in management during the few months we dealt with them and were a pain when it came to warranty replacements coming across the border.

my fried use the red one 420gr i think that this stick and the one at 395 are good quality product. I would like a shaft version.

still have Sakic (S curve), Modano (M curve), and Fischer (F curve). Now according to their site I think they also have a Crosby or C curve, I believe.

I haven't tried their blades or any ops sticks, but I like the shaft and a teammate of mine likes his OPS. They're good for what they are.

I'm with a mate right now that has one and he says: "It's much lighter then people say also has a nice selection of curves, I got it from Denmark about a year ago for £45 (around $80 US-ish) I am not to pleased about the flex TBH i was told it was like other Int. flexes but it felt like an 80 easton, the durability is great just doesn't seem to break through anything and has a good feel for the money I spent on it"

He was talking about the C series.

I practiced with a couple guys during my little offseason the past few weeks. I was complaining that the stores around here dont really carry the sticks I like...and they told me to go for a Powertek. Said it was good for the money and performs well.

Hi Dwayne!

I’ m thinking about buying a Powertek blade.

On the homepage I have seen a white one, but I have also seen red and orange ones.

Is there any difference between them?

The current blades out now are the same. The colors are purely cosmetic.

I am not in a position to price out products in the forums. I provide dealers suggested pricing, but it is just that, suggested.

If you want to e-mail or P.M. me, I can point you to a dealer or two.

Hockey is a very physical sport, sticks do break.

Our sticks carry a 30 day warranty, your team mate should call the store that he got the camo stick from. Or if he's a U.S. customer he can e-mail his claim to info@powertek.biz
