What the Deal with Sportchek TPS sticks?

Are they fake ??? or repaints i am concerned i bought one the other day but i was at my LHS and when i compared the 2 thay where not even close to the same. THe texture of the shaft was different and there was no end extension even blade felt/looked different. Does anybody have any ideas whats going on...I know someone else touched on the subject but.....

i BELIEVE that the sportchek ones are SMU (special make up) sticks and more aimed twords price point sticks but i may be wrong. someone should clarify for me.

a buddy of mine bought one and he loved it (hes had senergeis si core, and ccm 120 and some others) but he did break it in a week, but they're (tps) is giving him an adrenilen(sp) as warranty replacement

I held it in my hands and it did not feel like the Response Plus in other stores.

It felt heavy and glass-like for a Response Plus. I guess the best comparison I can think of is the Bauer Vapor V

i've heard a lot of complaints regarding the splitting of the blades on the rubbers, and seen a couple pluses come back broken. either way i see more pro stock synergy's go out the door then i do tps'

Ive seen them, you can really tell that they're a fused shaft and a blade because the blade really buldges out at the connection.

I can easily see the fuse point on my TPSes, (2 response, 1 adrenaline control) I don't think it's just the sportchek ones, unless it's hideously large.
