On-ice experience with One60?

Recommended Posts

So, has anyone else tried out the NikeBauer One60? That's the new wooden one made kind of like the old 3030 but much lighter, close to a Z-Carbon I estimate.

I tried it and played pretty badly, leaving pucks behind, bouncing passes off my blade, that sort of thing. Then again I think the lie is off because I went from a Forsberg to a Naslund, trying to get better wrist shots and saucer passes. Also, it's the stiffest stick I've ever used which is killing my snappers and slappers as well, though when I was able to fire off a few wristers they seemed to have more power.

So, anyone else tried it? Is is just me? Did a search, Markus Naslund seems to have no problem ;)

I picked one up a couple weeks ago and I love it. Granted I like a stiffer flex but it's definitely one of the nicer woodies I've tried in a while. I used to have a couple Zero Gs but those crapped out and so I went with a Kovalchuk. Definitely worth the $40 I paid.

I tried asking the same question about the One90 but my thread got closed, even though a search bought up all one90 skates. Any one actually used a one90 Stick?

Its because the on90 stick isn't out yet.. (just like it said in your locked thread).

i used 2 one60's, they were nice feeling with a good stiff shaft for slapers. i had a gagne curve, the new p106 previously jokenin. the blades were not too good though, both the the sticks lasted about 2.5 weeks each because the blades wore down and split open. the toes also chiped pretty bad. i did like the feel but the blades were not extreamly durable, other than that, good stick for 29.99.

yeah adding on to hitz14 the blade is pretty bad. My blade split from the bottom only after a few games. The shaft is sturdy but the blade seems flimsy. I put some toe protector on my other one60 so hopefully that'll prolong the life of the stick.

markus naslund has no problems because his sticks are pretty much the same weight as a low-mid range composite stick and his sticks are the definition of a quality wood stick :)
